I totally recommend coming here and trying any of the bento boxes . For dessert, I tried the cheesecake and was surprised to find out it was fried. The flavor was really nice and so cool to look at! Amazing flavor and moisture

Visited here with a couple of friends for the first time. The food we had was delicious but what made us go contented were the surroundings there. Looking forward to visiting again very soon. Especially Recommended for families and friends.

So, this sushi restaurant gets measured against my favorite; a tough act to follow. Stopped here because I was getting into a rut with Italian (Bertucci's). I was most absolutely not disappointed. My wife will love this place. The meal was absolutely delectable. If somebody pressed me to come up with a criticism - it would have to be that the sushi chef could hone his artistry skills. That's it - otherwise, Tokyo Sushi compares favorably well with my favorite, Daikichi in Chesapeake. Atmosphere is very good although the music didn't strike me as Japanese, although it was very relaxing and set the mood for my meal. The sushi and sashimi were superb; very, very fresh. Tokyo Sushi gets a 4.9 out of 5.We will be back.

Tokyo Sushi is the absolute worst restaurant in Ashburn. The new Korean owner is extremely rude, the sushi is terrible. This place is very different, in a bad way, from the way it was under the prior owners. The "all you can eat special is a rip off. They double the amount of rice per piece of sushi and make the piece of fish smaller. If you don't eat the rice, you get charged by the piece, after the fact. Dishonest and contemptuous business practice. The sushi itself is terrible. This is the worst review I've ever had to write, but I really want to warn people about this place.

This poor excuse for a restaurant features a deceptive lunch special for all-you-can-eat sushi. Here's the deal, they put the thinnest piece of fish that can be sliced on a gigantic ball of rice and if you can't finish the plate they charge you $2 for each ball of rice that you couldn't shove down without losing your lunch! The owner then has the nerve to say we were warned of this insanity because she posted a tiny sign on the wall behind me of their policy. The former owners knew how to run a restaurant but not these morons.

I experience very negligent service, no explanations and a particularly unappetizing meal that was very overpriced.

My husband and I were looking for a new sushi place, and we came upon this on Google. What a charming, little place. The staff couldn't be friendlier and they made all of the sushi fresh. We loved the eclectic menu and the different types of options compared to the typical Asian fusion sushi places. After ordering, they brought us complementary salads and miso soup, so good! Then the plate of sushi was absolutely enormous! So much value and the quality is top notch. Really loved this little Japanese sushi cafe.

We have been to Tokyo Sushi several times since the new management and chef took over, and found they have really improved the the sushi quality and service. Frankly, it's now the best sushi we've found in all of the DC area and we've been to many restaurants as sushi fanatics. The fish is very fresh, high quality and sushi portions large. They also have great lunch specials.

We have been here before, and the food was not good. But when we saw that there was a new chef, we decided to give it another try. The food was very disappointing, despite reviews that the food had improved. The sushi rice was not fresh and had no taste, as well as the broth in my udon noodles. Even with a Groupon, it was not worth it, and we definitely will not be back.

I recently just moved to Ashburn and was looking for a sushi restaurant near by and between this and another location, this was a better option. The prices are average, not much of a different in prices for sushi but maybe a couple cents more than I've paid before. The restaurant gave me more of a homey-feel and the staff was super friendly. This will be the only sushi restaurant in Ashburn that I will order from.

The sushi here is delicious! The nigiri is fresh and generous portions. There are many creative rolls that are outstanding. My favorites are probably the Play Boy and Play Girl rolls. (Yes, those are the real names). The staff is very friendly! We've been to the restaurant many times, and they remember us and greet us. They are also very nice about offering suggestions for what sushi to try. We like to order sake, and they also give great suggestions there as well. Prices are reasonable for sushi.

This is one of my favorite sushi places. The James Roll in particular is excellent. That said, I had a recent encounter that really didn't sit well with me. A couple of months ago, Tokyo Sushi was featured on Amazon Local where you could purchase a $40 sushi voucher for $20. As it was about to expire, I decided to use it today. The fine print said that it couldn't be used on a weekend or holidays, but that was about it. However, today (Thursday), when I tried to use the voucher, I was told "No Lunch, No Carryout". The hostess continued to argue with me even when I produced the written voucher and showed her that this was not listed any where in the exclusions. Another couple was also having the same issue. I called Amazon and they agreed with me - this basically represented false advertising on behalf of Tokyo Sushi. Fortunately, Amazon backed their coupon and sent me a refund. Five stars to Amazon for good service. Two stars to Tokyo Sushi for horrible service (but still great sushi).

I was really just in the mood for Sushi and I didn't want to trek into Reston. I was so happy to see the good reviews this little restaurant had, and it was very convenient, being in ashburn where we live. My daughter and I ordered the Captain crunch roll. Another with steamed ship, and another with salmon, and then just a plain avocado/cucumber/ asparagus one. They were all delicious and I thought reasonably priced. The Diet Coke, though, that I ordered was row dollars and it came in a can, and no refills, I presume. My daughter wanted club soda, which they didn't have, so she ordered Perrier, which was $3. For the price of these two beverages, we could have ordered another veggie roll. The flat screen TV over the cash register was very inappropriate .There was a Japanese soap opera going on. It wasn't too loud, but it was close. The man making the sushi and the hostess/waitress were watching it. They really need to not do that in my opinion.
