We both got sick after visiting the place. We also heard from other travelers that also complained about being sick. We can not recommend this place.

Lovely courtyard, soul-less interior. Service fast if a bit indiffent, and they urgently need to clean the jugs they serve water and juice out of, because there were spots of green algae in the rim mouldings, inside every single jug on our (large group) table. It did make me wonder about kitchen hygiene but as I have a cast-iron system,... More

During my first week in Rurrenabaque everyone I met told me to visit this restaurant and I am very happy I did. The fish was amazing. I didn't know what to order so told the waitress to order me the most popular item of the day. I still do not know what it was, but I am sure all the... More

I tried the harbour line to search for the pescado tuquara and pescado dunucuabi mentioned in the lonely planet and the pearl restaurant was the only place I could find. You had to pre-order the meal at least 2hrs in advance but it was absolutely delicious. Best fish in sa! We also ate there the previous night and had steak... More

BEST IN RURRENABAQUE----LO MEJOR IN RURRENABAQUE---This is a great place to eat, I took the suggestion from my server and ordered the Pescado (fish) Al Ajillo, It was served with french fries, rice and steamed vegetables. The fish was prepared in a special sauce called al ajillo which has a mustard and garlic flavor cooked in aluminum foil and served... More

Visited in the afternoon. We wanted a drink and a meal. One other couple in when we arrived. Waitress couldn't be bothered. We asked what the Chuflay was on the drinks menu. She's said she had no idea. We ordered a beer and some wine. After some thought we tried to get her attention to order some food and got... More

Lovely open air setting. Both my boyfriend and I had the fish special, it came wrapped in foil in a beautifully fragranced sauce. A very generous portion of fish too. Best fish dish I've had since travelling round South America.

We were there and ordered two different dishes from beef. I had the worst fillet mignon of my life. It was definitely not fillet mignon but realy dry piece of meat. For 40 bolivianos I am pretty sure you can find a better place to eat.

The food was excellent, we had the specialty of the house - baked fish, and also a great bolivian wine. The surroundings were beautiful and the service was great.

I came here intending to go to paititi but having discovered it was closed, I though la perla would be good too as the Lonely Planet recommends it. However, my friend and i both ordered steak and they were both almost entirely inedible. I spent absolutely ages trying to cut it and, when i had finally managed this feat of... More
