Nice place with delicious food when lunching or dining. Foreigners from several nationalities visit this restaurant every time they come to Manaus. Also preferred by the locals. Though its specialty is fish, this restaurant also serves chicken and meat. Regional juices, beer, sodas and the brazilian "caipirinha" are among the beverages offered. Pope John Paul II had a meal at... More

This is a cross road corner restaurant in Manaus made famous now by a recent visit by none other than His Holiness ! while fish predominates the menu, they do have other options as well. The place is simple, clean, with great food and service at a reasonable price. very popular with the locals, always a good indicator to visitors.

Went here to try some of the local fish like Tambaqui and Piraricu. It's about a 15 min. cab ride from the pier area; rustic and small but super nice owner and staff. The fruit drinks were delicious and the fish was simply prepared but very tasty. It's fun and I'd come again to try other dishes.

My wife and I had been here several times but probably around fifteenn years ago. The delicious food is still the same. The caldeirada de Tambaqui is outstanding. The service by waiter Tiago was top notch. The beer was chillingly cold and the caipirinhas were great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a very simple restaurant, but the food is divine. They say the pope ate there when he visited Manaus. Not sure what he had, but we had the tambaqui caldeirada - a soup worthy of a great french chef. I definitely recommend. The staff is very nice. Two dished for four people are enough.

Went there with family for lunch. They were celebrating 40 years of being in business. The food was delicious, generous in portions and well priced. The staff were very friendly and the clean and simple atmosphere makes it very popular with the locals. You can not go to the Amazon without trying the Tambaqui ribs and fish stews.

I was taken here by friends while visiting for business. Their specialty, like many of the other people mentioned, is the Tambaqui Ribs. They are amazing. They are very meaty and very tasty. I'd recommend being careful of how much food you order because they bring you a lot here.

Went there with group of co-workers to have what's best on the region... Tambaqui Ribs! Tambaqui is a typical fish from the region, giant one, from the river. The fish is so giant that you eat its ribs. It's delicious and has got a lot of meat. It's a typical restaurant with a very, very simply atmosphere. Worths a visit.... More

Our host at the guesthouse recommended we go to this place for dinner. He even wrote down which dishes he suggests we try. After a disapointing tour of the Amazon we needed some comfort to restore our faith in Manaos and this place did mot disappoint. The beer is served ice cold, the food is flavorful and the fish is... We stayed at a resort 3 hours outside of Manaus, and had to spend half a day in a rather bland Manaus before we catch the flight at 4pm back to Sao Paulo. After seeing the manatees at the park and the meeting of the waters, this fish restaurant was a perfect place for a relaxing lunch of great fish... More
