Located right in Sao Sebastiao square, it offers a nice view of downtown area while enjoyinmg local delicacies like pirarucu fish bolinhos and pastel de carne. Very nice indeed.

very popular, since it's the only bar in that plaza. Lots of tables outside and there is live music on the weekends, which was nice. Service it ok but you have to seek them out.

Located in the main square near the Opera House, with seats outside in the evening. Simple, white-tiled bar room, reasonable prices, popular with locals.

We wandered around trying to find what was an apparently nonexistent pizza place, and then came back here out of necessity. Service is typical Brazilian - wave down a waiter, get the wrong thing a few times, they're out of most stuff, etc. Priceless people watching, cold beer, and decent calabresa are the only reasons to go.

I would never eat the food here, but the local weirdos are priceless! Go with an open mind and dress down.

We sat at one of the outside unconfortable plastic tables and waited a long time to be noticed by the waiter, who was more interested in his phone. In the meantime we were approached by 3 different baggers asking for money, which is not pleasant. The smell of urine from the dirty streets was awfull. When we were finally able... More

Sitting in front of the Theater and drinking a cold beer in a traditional bar and an ancient Portuguese house in colonial style is a nice program to do in Manaus night.

This unpretentious bar is right on Opera House Square, and about a three-minute walk from the Opera House. I went there every evening for a sundowner. Most people were just sipping beers, but on a couple of occasions I ordered a caipirinha! And what a fantastic caipirinha it was....better, even, than ones I had sipped along the Copacabana in Rio!...... More

I went there to drink some beers and try a appetizers from a bar contest that happen around Brazil. When we arrive there and ask about the appetizers for our surprise was unavailable (they said that the cook was absent). So terrible surprise! Then we choose a meat appetizer with onions. They spent a long time to prepare and when... More

We dropped by acidentally only to have a warm up before our night out in Manaus. The place has nothing special but it turned out to be a very cozy one. A life band played through the evening portuguese music. The beer was amazingly cold, the food superb. The Caipirinha same fantastic. The mix of guests is absolutely astonishing. Just a... More

A traditional bar in Manaus, working in the same adress over 40 yers, in front of Sao Sebatiao square and next to Amazon Opera House!
The coldest beer in town, and very famous by the delicious sandwiches and fried codfish balls.
it's a portuguese house for sure!
