Nice, upscale, immaculate "deli". Was in for lunch. Buffet is an option. Something atypical for Salvador, but typical for the rest of Latin America are the chicken and shrimp pastels. I tried one of each. Basically fresh bread pastry enclosing pieces of shrimp or chicken. Kind of stingy on the chicken and shrimp, but yummy nonetheless. Sandwiches are available as... More

The breakfast buffet that Perini has every morning is major and well worth trying. Please beware though because each time I have gone for it I have needed to lay down for hours afterwards. There is a huge range of foods from breads, hams, cheeses, fruits to pastries, egg, sandwiches and cakes to pick from. Check it out.

To come to Perini is a synonimous of good eating and light eating, at least if you chosse 'delicatessen' food or ham and cheeses. Good to admire also panoramic views.

This is where you can get most of your usual European/foreign foodstuffs. Good organic vegitable too. There are other branches in Salvador, like in Pituba and Graça, but the main store in Barra continues to have more of the personal touch.

I purchased a pastry from the shop in the mall. I couldn't resist buying a dessert because they looked so wonderful. I bought a small strawberry tart. It was quite tasty. They did a beautiful job wrapping it up for me to take to my hotel. There is a nice Perini store nearby also, which is good to pick up... More

but not yet quite there. Imported products are fantastically expensive except for some Spanish and Italian foods. The snack bar is good for a quick refresher - ice cream, salgado. Unfortunately the buffet is no longer a good value

Nice delicatessen, with wide variety of breads, sweets and snacks. Market with everything one need for a great dinner, from excellent wines to imported seasons.

Perini has a little something for everyone. Great icecreams, good selection of cheese, bread, hams, fruits and vegetables. Whether you are looking for an afternoon snack or ingredients to a first class dinner, Perini is the place to go. There are two parts, one with a self-service restaurant, the other part, supermarket like. Great stuff.
