We had high expectations but the experience was just OK. Service was fine and efficient, but the place needs a revamp. Food was OK but nothing to write home about.

A traditional place in Belo Horizonte, where intellectuals, musicians and ordinary people meet. Prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. The Filet au poivre is a must!

Cantina do Lucas is a great place to get food food at reasonable price. With its unassuming atmosphere, it is a great example of how Belo Horizonte can offer an easygoing meal with a couple of beers that a city of bars can offer.
This is not a restaurant with sophisticated facilities. The food is well prepared and the portions are large. Tasted and approved the filet with jabuticaba sauce (a Brazilian exotic fruit). The restaurant has an outdoor area for happy hour.
A place to go when you are hungry, in good company or alone, in the wee small hours. Beer is ice cold, a small choice of cachaças from Minas Gerais however, and generous dishes. Service is correct.
Traditonal and very bohemian bar and restaurant, downtown area, until late at night. It´s location is pitoresque to go by day (full of used book libraries) but caution is recommended if you choose to go at night. Good food.
The location, can scare a little, specially at night, but the quality of the food is good and the price is right. The service must improve to be considered a good option.
