Brazilian so called Thai restaurant, no match to Thai taste, avoid if you are looking for authentic Thai food.

Dear Jayensh, I'm sorry for your desappointment, really our food is adapted for the brazilian taste, also we don't have some authentic thai herbs here in Brazil. We are already 20 years in the market and always trying to satisfy our costumers, What did you have for dinner ? With your help I can try to find out if there... More

Nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere in Bairro Leblon one of the most exclusive area in Rio De Janeiro. This is no just Thai but Asian-fusion restaurant with some indian spice like "masala". The food is tasty and also the quantity and quality is very acceptable. The prices are medium-high range. Service is fine and waiters are polite even better... More

Although most people think this is a Thai restaurant, I believe it's more of an asian-fusion type as there are also some indian influences. The food is really good, and the creativity with some dishes are really good. The taste was really good, although hard to find something that is not spicy. The quantity was enough and some people on... More

Good food but small quantities, which make this restaurant a bit expensive. Service is quite poor... and the bill includes a 12% service fee, cleverly hidden... In Brazil, service is 10%, not compulsory, but 10%, not more... this might be symbolic, but these additional 2% made me crazy... sort of bad faith from this restaurant... will not go back and... I`m afraid that`s the point, the restaurant is in Leblon so 40% of what you pay is location, which can be worth if the food was excellent but unfortunately this is not the case... So to summarize, location, service and were good and the restaurant was nice. However this was not compensating or the food, we had one noodle dish,... More

the offered Thai food is very good. The shrimp with coconut was particularly sensational. The pastezinhos were good and very good eggplant. Overall, all the dishes look great. The service is good.

It was my second visit to Sawasdee. I like to do it to get a new perspective. Yesterday, the restaurant was full. It could be very noisy but not uncomfortable. There is a vallet parking in front of the restaurant that charges R$ 20. It is a extortion. We got the same entree. It was delicious but not so mind-blowing... More

Even arriving half hour after the opening hour, we are the first table. The names are impossible to pronounce. We are the appetizer mix. It is impossible to be better. For the main course, we chose Kung kaeng khaw, the spiciest plate. Don't be afraid. It is good and the dressing is served apart. ( I cook sometimes, I do... More

Great Thai food. As good as in the best restaurants I had the chance to go in Thailand. Located in Leblon, a sophisticated neighborhood, it is not cheap but worth the price. Looking for a nice dinner on nice place ? This is a great choice.

We were recommended this restaurant by a couple of locals, so we decided to try it. My friend loved her food, and she really likes Thai. I wasn't feeling very well, so just order their starter which on the menus says 'for 2' I have asked if they can make the starter for just 1 person, which would be my... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Leblon
In addition to being one of the most upscale neighbourhoods in the city, Leblon is charming, elegant and simple. This posh area has some of the most famous and expensive restaurants in Brazil, along with some of the city’s best nightlife (including some places open all night). One of the best places to visit is the beach, located under the impressive “Morro Dois Irmãos” (Two Brothers Hill). It’s a pleasant place to relax and admire the local beauty.
