Good spot if you want to get away from the "café de manhã" in Rio. The pancakes appear to be a better option. Friendly staff.

Great service and atmosphere, puzzle(?) for kids welcome. Pancakes yummy but contrary to some reviews, do not expect a good example of eggs benedict; this lacked the acidic component, leaving only a drudgy amorphous yellow creme. Packet stuffMore

Thank you so much for your feedback. We make the Hollandaise sauce for the Eggs Benedict fresh every day and often, several times per day. It appears our measurements were off for your plate affecting the flavor and texture and we truly do apologize for...More

Gringo has the best american style breakfast in Rio. If you want eggs benedict, it's just about the only place that they do it right! The pancakes are also delicious!

With uncluttered decoration and reminiscent of an American coffee, Gringo café has delicious dishes combined with pancakes, bacon and eggs. Also the tradicional american cheeseburguer with a tiny american flag stuck in the hamburguer bread!

Eggs benedict and French toast! Delicious. Cozy restaurant with WiFi and we'll located in the heart of ipanema. Was there three times in a week.

Ipanema is considered Rio's crown jewel. It offers the
best view of the sunset from Arpoador and is

high-end restaurants and luxury shops, many of which
can be found on the charming Garcia d'Ávila Avenue.
The neighbourhood is very rich culturally, housing
