I asked for a breaded chicken for lunch. It is one of the cheapest dishes they offer, but probably a high price for what it was. I found it good with no special taste. Good facilities, though no special service. Located close to the Metro Line 1 Siqueira Ramos station.

The food was excellent, they had all sorts of dishes, even salmon. Very tasty and plenty of everything. The place was very nice and clean as well. I'll go back when I go to Rio again.

It was around the corner of my hostel, so I went there to have some healthy italian food. I tried the Gnocchi, but it was full of sauce and really, really salty. I just didn't like it. Unlucky choice I guess.

We figure that, to produce the "strogonoff pizza", they use the strogonoff from the pan they cook for several clients. That's normal. But I found two rice grains in the pizza (blergh!), what makes me suppose they used strogonoff... from another plate. Absolutelly disgusting! All the pizzas were disgusting and the service was hostile. Well, it used to be a... More

The Tijuca restaurant of Parme (corner of Campos Salles st. and Gonçalves Crespo st.), a wednesday afternoon. But it may happen other days, in other neighnorhoods. Some couples, families with kids and aged relatives, groups of students, friends celebrating something, people singing Happy Birthday, glasses falling and breaking, waiters shouting the weirdest pizza flavours someone could imagine, like fries pizza,... This place serves average food, best know for party treats and lousy pizza. Pizza has tons of fat the chesse is greasy. The only thing that I dare to buy here is the thin pizza like bread that has only salt and herbs. It is an appetizer.

Famous pizzeria, with several branches in Rio, much frequented by locals (and tourists at least), but also with good variety of dishes and friendly / efficient service. Usually crowded. Good value for money.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
