Four years ago I was born the Terra Brasilis, restaurant with a prime location on the Red beach, which quickly became a meeting point for residents of the South Zone and tourists. The feet of the restaurant are in the sea with frontal views of the Sugar Loaf and the cable car, eternal postcards of the city. To complete the very pleasant environment, an almond tree growing in the middle of the room, bringing a bit of the beautiful view beyond the windows into the house. Restaurant The three restaurant environments are divided into an internal, to buffet the kilo, and two outside, where it is served a la carte menu. In addition to the warm climate, the house offers plenty of security because it is located within the Military Circle. Behind the venture, the partners Guilherme Bressane, Ricardo Miranda de Carvalho and Mauro Florencio da Silva divide to take care of restaurant management. Under the direction of them for about a year, Terra Brasilis has undergone a major renovation to offer a more comfortable environment and also more quality and diversity in the dishes. If at first sight appears to be the more impressive that the house has to offer, wait until you taste the delights prepared by the kitchen of the house. The chef Mauro Florencio is mining and learned the techniques of cooking in practice, without making any progress, and for some years has been exercising his talent ahead of Buffet Point 3. To the menu of Terra Brasilis, the chef has prepared from appetizers and pizza to sophisticated dishes, which are served either buffet the kilo, served at lunch time, as a la carte, served all day. One of the most famous chef creations of the house, with shitake shrimp and mashed potatoes baroa (£ 42) became one of the flagship of the house. Among the most requested dishes are the Picanha (R $ 40), served with two side dishes and a sauce chosen by the client, such as rice to piamontese and rostie potato with lemon sauce with capers. Another dish that is popular in the house is a stew of shrimp (R $ 85), served for two with rice and porridge or crumbs. To enjoy at any time of day, bet on more than 20 flavors of pizzas, as it takes the name of the house (R $ 30), with beef carpaccio with arugula and the Shiitake with leek and oregano (R $ 28 ). At the buffet the kilo, dinner will find more than 30 choices a day between cold and hot dishes. Each day has a specific theme and cuisine are served at least two dishes that style. Monday is a day of light dishes at home. Tuesday is the day the chef bring to the table a little tradition of their land, with dishes from Minas cuisine. On Wednesday, and several choices of pasta is always served a wonderful stew. Thursday seafood buffet invade the Earth Brasilis. As tradition, Friday is a day of feijoada! Saturday diners exemplified dishes with shrimp and Sunday is a day of eating cod. To pack a meal or happy hour, the Terra Brasilis has a group of live music is most popular in the house. Every day from 16h and on weekends from lunch (Saturday and Sunday), diners can enjoy the wonderful view of the place with the biggest hits of Brazilian popular music as a soundtrack. Also, the restaurant is one of the few in town that still offer an exclusive area for smokers, giving freedom to these customers, without disturbing others. In the house wine list, as Casillero del Diablo options (R $ 76) and Veuve Clicquot Brut (R $ 350) are some of the highlights. Among the beers, Original (R $ 8.50), Stella Artois (R $ 7) and Heineken (£ 7) are the highlights. The house also offers premium beers such as Petra Aurum (R $ 20) and Black Gold (R $ 20).
