We went to have a breakfast (brunch) as a family and we had a lovely time! Food is amazing. Many options for everyone. If you’re vegetarian you had plenty of options! Beautiful cakes 🍰 and delicious tapioca with outstanding fillings - you can choose what...More

I went to Cafe do Alto because of a research in tripadvisor, and could not be happier. One of the best brazilian style food I found in Rio. I tried the red rissotto and it was beyond delicious. Definitely a must in Rio.

We visited Cafe do Alto after reading great reviews on Trip Advisor and were staying very close by. We were not disappointed, it is a lovely restaurant with a very traditional feel. There was live music playing when we were seated which was a nice...More

This little place up in Santa Teresa is perfect for breakfast, lunch, afternoon beer or just coffee. During the weekends, they serve a brunch in “Minas Gerais” fashion. In the afternoon, including in some weekdays, they have live music! It is located right in front...More

The good thing about being taken by a local around a city where you don't know anything is that you get to go to places where you wouldn't even imagine exist! This is one of them. We stopped for a quick afternoon petiscos and cerveja...More

We had a private driver take us to Santa Teresa and said we wanted some simple authentic food. He took us here and it did not disappoint. We ordered the "shrimp stew" that included an ice tea. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed the meal and...More

This restaurant is right in the centre of Santa Teresa. It's a quaint little place with the most amazing food. I had traditional feijoada and it was excellent. Nice selection of wines too. Wish I could go back!

I almost never visit the same restaurant twice when I travel, but the meal I ate here the first night was so spectacular that I had to return! The service was excellent, and the ambiance is very cool. But the food alone makes this place...More

So delicious, we visited three times! Food was very reasonably priced, generously portioned and most importantly, really fresh. The atmosphere was relaxed, staff are attentive and the live music was lovely. There is also a great international craft beer selection and a variety of vegetarian...More

Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local
artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this
neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors
can now stroll through this area to view magnificent
mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th
century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a
former mansion turned museum which houses works by
prominent Brazilian modern artists.
