We went, my companion and I, on Easter Sunday. They told us that they didn't take reservations on weekends and that if there was a line we could wait outside. Since we are both senior citizens I asked if there wasn't a bar where we could have a drink while waiting. No. But over the phone they were very polite... More

I got a yummy seafood soup and crab empanada. I thought it was very tasty, and the service was great! This was among my favorite meals in Rio!

Food tasty enough but price was outrageous! Main meals cost between $80-$100 and would expect better ambience and food for that price point

I would certainly go here again. We were in town for the week on business. My associate had the fish and was delicious and cooked very well. It was not over done. I enjoyed the lobster Moqueca. It was everything I hoped for. The lobster was cooked to perfection. No rubbery consitency. Fork tender. If your looking for a good... More

Very clean, simple and delicious food. This place is underrated. We found it just outside our hotel at Miramar at the end of Copacabana beach which is on the quiet end. The lobster stew and squid was amazing!

The place is poorly decorated, undressed tables (see pic below). Other than that, it was excellent: the staff was very friendly and efficient, they took their time to explain the dishes and make recommendations. I ordered lobster tail for 1, with a caipirinha and a goiaba and cheese ice cream dessert. It was wonderful! Finished the meal with a "3... More

We were staying in the hotel next door so decided to eat here. They had an iPad to show food and wine which was a fab idea. The wine we wanted, they didn't have. We did also notice that they were out of a few other wines. We ordered a red which unfortunately was not to our liking,it was rather sweet.... More

I was hesitant to go here due to some of the negative comments. However, I have zero regret in going. We have the fish rolls for starters which were delicious. They recommended the prawns moqecha which is their speciality and that was incredible! Service was first class and the waiter served our food to our plates. Nothing was an issue... More

We were told that this place was THE place to try seafood but found the food really pretty bland and very expensive. The ipad presentation for the wine list and deserts was a bit weird and the atmosphere was pretty sterile. This was our most expensive meal in Rio and probably our most disappointing.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
