Hummus is an Arab dish - it has been an Arab dish since and before medieval times. It is not an Israeli dish. Give credit where credit is due

Just like in Israel, street well done shop with great Israeli flavor. Thina , hummos, and Arab salads just making it good, tasteful and authentic.

I have lived here for 8 years.... And am endlessly disappointed when new Restos are opened in the name of foreign food, This one was shocking, awful tasteless gooey chicken sandwich with a sweet pita bread with endless silly extras. Hommous and Tahini tasteless, have they ever tasted real thing b4 opening this joke. Annoyed

One of the few restaurants distinguishable from the 100s of lanchonetes e botecas in copacabana. Not a fancy or flashy place, but it's great compared to most in copacabana for the price. 25 reals gets you a big meal and a drink.

Being from Haifa, I know my shawarma--a food I love. This was horrible, very awful, the worst. First of all the meat was unidentifiable and barely edible. I thought that this, being Brazil, the meat would be phenomenal. And what did the young woman (who never smiled or tried to look pleasant) do with the poor meat after she awkwardly... More

It was great to eat some Israeli food while travelling away from home. Very recommended for those who miss hummus, tahini falafel and so on..

Went here due to the reviews. Lots of young locals here so also gave us another great sign... Hummus and tahini are MIXED together. Never had that before, and not very tasty. Pita bread was NOT pita bread... The falafels were tiny and ok. Upside was it was casual and pretty cheap. Didn't spend so much on this disappointing meal.

We happened to stop by Pittas while we were walking around the Copacabana area. Very reasonably priced (RBL18/plate, US$10), the portion sizes are large and the quality of food excellent. Highly recommended for an inexpensive, tasty meal.

I ran into this restaurant while vacationing in Rio. I was staying at the Rio Deal B&B hostel on Santa Clara and this restaurant is a quick walk from the hostel. The falafel sandwiched are excellent. Wide range of choice in the fillings. I particularly liked the grilled Brinjal. The falafel platter was excellent as well, with excellent veggie options.... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
