A very good bakery, popular in the neighborhood for decades. You'll find all the usual Brazilian bakery treats, plus a bit more. The only downside is the absolute lack of parking spots nearby, it's never easy.

I love this place. I had a very simple cheese sandwich with a sauce and it was delicious. A lot of options for many tastes. You can eat there standing up, or walk to the nearby park. I am not sure how well they understand anything but portuguese, but they are a nice bunch of people.

A bit crowded and nowhere to sit and eat, but great breads and delis. For me is the best in the neighborhood.

Seriously, the pastries here are to die for. It is a traditional Sao Paulo bakery with fresh juice, sweet and more. It has a branch called Benjamin Abrao a few blocks up the road. If you are in Sao Paulo it is definetly worthwhile trying.

Barcelona was formelly owned by Benjamin Abraão, a known baker who was succeeded by his family (the main family enterprise is the Benjamin Abraão bakery, a few blocks away). Barcelona is not the best bakery in SP, but certainly is one of them.

One of the best bakeries in the town where go to the bakery is almost a religion. Everything there is fresh and very good, you can eat there or take everything you want home or both. My favorites are the puff paste with Minas chesse and ham and chesse croissant both are unforgettable !!

Staying in Higienopolis

Neighbourhood Profile
Higienopolis
Elegant, charming and filled with green spaces, Higienópolis is an upper-class residential neighbourhood with great restaurants, interesting cultural institutions and fine shopping. Visit Buenos Aires Park, a dog-friendly and safe place to relax during the day. There you can get a feel for the local life, as it’s not a mainstream tourist destination. For dining, Vilaboim Square is a trendy place with tasty food and a nice bar environment for happy hour. Walk a few blocks and you’ll come to Higienópolis Shopping Mall, where luxury shops (and also some affordable stores) are a favourite distraction for locals.
