Did a 15mn jungle trek to get there for lunch, only to be rejected by a hotel staff with a condescending smile. We’re being told that this is a « private property » that doesn’t allow « outside people ». That’s def not what the website is saying. Best...to stay away from this pompous place.More
The in house made gin and cocktails with the sunset views is something to experienced one not to be missed. Also very nice for snorkeling and even swimming to the beach.

This is a great place to go to watch the sunset and enjoy great service and food. Italian food - pizza, pasta's and a great grill selection of fresh fish and seafood. Quirky little place forming part of the Japamala Resort. Only 6 Cabanas here jutting out towards the sea. Meeting place for the 6pm Sunset Cocktails. Good varied menu,with an Italian accent. Pizzas really good but the dish that wins hands down is the Seafood Jumble....A huge plate of battered assorted fish (prawns /calamari etc). You will need a good appetite to get through it!! The burgers here are the best burgers you will ever have! Me and my husband always go away to Asia for the food but we are here every day for lunch and had a burger daily! We tried other stuff on the menu but kept...going back for the burgers!! Serves Italian cuisine and sandwiches. One of the best around in Malaysia and easily beats the "Italian" Restaurants in KL. The lobster tagliatelle was simply amazing.
One find afternoon, we have no clue on what to eat, so the staff recommended to try out their pizza, and they was super delicious. Also tried their pasta with lobster etc all of the food taste good.
Mandi-mandi.. A restaurant on a jetty. What a super idea! A restaurant built on stilts on the water with lovely oriental pavilions. Menu is good, service is great. It is definitely a a gem for Tioman.
Just the place is out of a storybook. We had lunch as well as dinner here. Fish and seafood mostly with salad and fresh juice drinks. Some wine in the evening. The place is ok...very good location n always got people thr...the fresh juices n drinks there r good.food is also ok, but the service is a bit slow...by the time u recieve food u dont feel that hungry any more:-)
The food at Mandi Mandi is varied and interesting. Dishes are well thought out and reflect the Samadhi idea of healthy and funky . The Laotian Papaya Salad and the Caramelised Chicken are well worth the eating. Breakfast is good ... Juice selection is great
Good portion, nice pizzas and pastas. Can get a tad chilly at night so bring a shawl. There are only 6 "cubicles" so be prepared for it to be full if you are late for dinner.
