We came here whilst on the Sandakan Heritage Trail. It is a colonnial style restaurant. We had a lovely afternoon tea and cocktail (Singapore Sling!). The gardens are well maintained and the views are great. Worth a visit!
We asked our taxi driver to take us here after a visit to the war memorial.
We were immediately asked to take a seat wherever we wished. There was a vacant table under a huge tree overlooking sandakan. It was a lovely hour spent chilling...with a spectacular view.
The menu looked very appealing but as it was the middle of the afternoon we chose tea & a bruschetta to share. All delicious & not overpriced.More
Aside from authentic English tea & scones, this peaceful colonial style restaurant and garden with sea views, serves extremely good western dishes and drinks. Reasonably priced, head here for a break from local cuisine and to enjoy the views and lush vegetation.
After visiting this place in the afternoon the previous day we decided we would come back and have a meal the following night and were so glad we did. The food the atmosphere the setting and the staff were superb. If your ever this way...in then don’t miss out in visiting this place.More
