Old English charm, reminds one of the British era. Well maintained, well serviced. Great location. enjoyed our lunch there.

Nice desserts and coffee and a cute little stop located near the Agnes Keith house. Cute little place to have a break on a big way of site seeing.

The Lonely Planet guide is not very enthusiastic about this place. We found it OK, but certainly not remarkable. We had a couple of sandwiches (with way too much mayonnaise) and a bottle of water. Atmosphere OK until they had a power failure, and then nothing (not even the water in the toilets) worked.

The nice thing about the English tea house is the views, garden setting and out door tables with shade from big trees. It was a very pleasant way to spend the early part of an afternoon. The service was really good and it was very enjoyable to chat away with the restaurant staff. The food was okay we had the... More

Gracious staff welcome you to the tea house. Graceful gardens surrounding the house. Elegant verandah with lovely cooling breezes. The best afternoon tea as you were hoping for in such a setting and delicious, well priced cocktails. Don't miss out on this heritage treat when visiting Sandakan.

This is a restaurant with old English colonial style and flair. The food is more than OK, but it's the surroundings and style that will get you here.

The colonial English Tea House with a view of the Sandakan bay is a lovely place to while away a few hours in Sandakan. We had afternoon drinks whilst waiting for the sunset. Atmosphere is lovely, staff are friendly but the furniture is a bit old and prices high for Sandakan town.

This old colonial style building houses an alright restaurant, they have really nice cocktails and the service is great. It's beautifully set overlooking Sandakan. The retro music really adds to the ambience. The food was alright but it's worth a visit just because of the lovely house.

We had an absolute cracker of a sunny day to be here and the view was excellent as was the lunch... the food was a 3 course set menu and was really well presented and flavoursome. The house is an old colonial house which still keeps the decor of the war era. The view from the garden is well worth... More

The setting is very nice and offers great views of the ocean from on top of the hill above Sandakan. The scones were great and the dinner I had (for Christmas dinner) was well executed and tasty. The staff were kind and attentive.
