High above the Nak Hotel, the Balin is a bit hard to find. Just keep going up. You'll arrive at a lovely roof top bar and restaurant. We went for drinks and ended up staying for dinner. We tried their signature cocktail called Bees Knees....More

We had excellent food including Woodfire pizza and seafood platter. The setting was beautiful with wicker chairs and roof fans. The staff were outstanding - always smiling and attentive. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting sandakan.

We had a beautiful sunset evening at Balin rooftop restaurant. It was relatively quiet being a Monday night, we arrived 15 mins before sunset and sipped our first cocktails (Tigerlily & lychee margarita) as the beautiful colours filtered the sky. The ambience was fresh but...More

One of the best highlights of my trip to Sandakan. Sipping the cocktails with a city-view at the rooftop was a pleasant experience- the Bees Knees and mojito were delicious! I also wish to commend the staffs for their attentiveness (always being ready to accomodate...More
