We had a curry here and it was delicious. More expensive then other places but was yum. Plus we got some friendly monkey visitors which was fun and the view is beautiful. Also let us use there wifi while having lunch, it wasn’t great but...nice of them to let us use it.More

If you like Spicy food, I recommend Seabass with lime sauce. The service was good and 3 minutes walking from PIR.

The food was tasty but price is expensive. There got a lot of menu options, the environment is peace and nice.

You can eat inside or on a terrace on the beach, quite lovely. I ordered a seafood salad which had plenty of green salad and some pieces of very cold seafood, at times with ice still attached!.... The fish with lime sauce was not available,...so the waitress proposed sea bass with soy sauce that was quite big and tasty. As they don't serve alcohol I ordered a mocktail, that was really not special. The price is comparatively high and the service just average (no napkin, no decoration, waiters often invisible).More

The Coral View Resort is a nice resort from a room/appartment point of view. The set-up of the resort is nice, great views but don't bother to eat in the restaurant (breakfast / lunch or dinner); there is hardly any waiter around and it takes...forever to get someone's attention. On top of that, the food is below average. You can stay at the resort, but foodwise just walk 100 meters to the Barat restaurantMore

Tried few restaurant in pulau perhentian besar and we preferred the coral view resort restaurant the most. The taste is good, big portion and not so expensive compare to other restaurant. Their service is good, food doesn't really need to wait so long to be...served, environment is clean and able to enjoy the sea view.More

Had a terrible time here. The service is very slow. The staff (especially 'Patrick') are not great. Infact when I asked Patrick for a spare plate for my prawns which had only been half shelled by the chef (eurgh) he GRUNTED at me and then...pretty much threw the plate at me. He had NO problem speaking politely to all the other guests in Putonghua though. Sadly, Patrick didn't realise that I can speak PTG and also understand blatant racism. I would say this resort caters more for a Chinese market, especially my mate Patrick. The food was pretty dire too. My Prawns in Cream & Garlic came out in a tomato-y sauce. The chef made it difficult for me to deshell the prawns myself having half done the job. All hands on deck- my food hell. It looked nothing like the deshelled prawns in the photo menu. My husband had a pizza that came around 20 minutes later. Looked more like a pie or some weird cheese on toast. Frozen pizza base. Terrible. Awful visit. Horrid staff and minging food.More

We prebooked and prepaid for a standard room. We were able to check in really early which was nice. The standard room isn't great. It is far up the hill although that wasn't a problem for us. It was the moldy musty smell and items...in the room that were in disrepair. We decided to ask if there was any available upgrade at a price and was shown 2 much nicer rooms. We decided to splurge on a family suite with ocean view and it made the experience at the resort and on the island much better. The room was sunny and a lot more spacious. I highly recommend this. To get one of the best accommodations on the big island, the price we paid was about the same as a standard and smaller room on the small island. Better value here for sure. Pros: friendly staff, safe environment, movies loaded USB which resort lends to guests with a small deposit. Cons: no alcohol in the restaurant so no wine with dinner for me. Some items even in a much better room was still in disrepair and should have been reported and fixed by the staff quite easily. World class snorkeling in our "front lawn". We swam with turtles 2 days in a row just steps from the resort. Also best and most beautiful location. Overall we were quite happy with the stay and would recommend.More

We waited a while for our food but it was worth it. The vegetable curry was awesome and not too spicy, the waffles are made fresh so they do take a while to get there. Had the pancake too but preferred the waffles
