Good food, clean place and great service. There is another branch in the old city as well, called "Bab Sour" Restaurant and they serve the same menu.

We wanted to go to the #1 restaurant on Tripadvisor and were told that since a couple of months this Lala Mesouda was bought from the same owner of BAB SSOUR. The food ist excellent and the Menu is exactly the same.

The food was good and the interior was unique. Although it doesn't seem to be the basement of anything, the feeling inside was a bit like being in a German Keller or even a grotto (made out of bricks). Don't miss the seats carved from tree trunks, surprisingly not uncomfortable art objects. The young, friendly staff all seem to be... More

We ate here daily and as often as we could become hungry during our week in Chefchaouen. We were treated so warmly and the soups and tangines were our favorites. Very lovely inside and anytime we ate elsewhere we were disappointed.

Excellent value. Good selection of traditional Moroccan food. Vegetarian options too. Tasty food. Excellent service and very friendly family run restaurant. Many languages spoken. Try the aubergine starter and "kebabs in sauce"! Homemade chilli sauces delicious.

We choose this restaurant because of nice look: velvet tablecloths, carved chairs, cushons e.t.c. It was cold in March but inside the restaurant it was even colder than outside. Hot lentil soup saved us. Then we ordered tajines - they were good but nothing special. Prices were ok but a little bit higher than in neibourhood, so we paid for... More

My husband and I ate there while in Chefchaouen. The food was very good and the service also very good. Surprisingly we were the only customers at that time. Other nights we saw people dining in there. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered 2 different salads from the menu but the waiter/owner said he only had "Moroccan salad" so we had that. It was basically boiled vegetables with some spices but it was passible. My sister ordered spaguetti and I ordered vegetable soup. The food had all the wrong textures and didn't taste like anything at all... I bet they make... More

The restaurant is extremely well decorated with traditional Moroccan designs and furniture. This was impressive. When we visited it was very quiet, with another couple sitting nearby. We sat closest to the window, however, until 5 minutes later we did not notice the huge gap under the window letting in a cold breeze. It seems this is to allow regular... More

We had a vegetable soup, a tropical salad, a grilled chicken dish and an omelette. Also fresh juice! It was all delicious and the owner was especially nice!
