We were borderline starving when we finally sat down to eat after a long day of sight seeing in Delhi. Our driver recommended Pindi, and it did not disappoint. The meal was reasonably priced, the service was wonderful, and the food was delicious. I had their house specialty - the butter chicken - and a half portion would have been... More

This Pandara Road market has a number of similar restaurants serving North Indian food - Gulati, Havemore, Pindi etc. Having tried both Gulati & now Pundit, I have a confession to make - can't tell the difference! All the restaurants here are immensely popular so I guess you won't go wrong with Pindi either. However, nothing really stood out except... More

Taken here by our tour guide for lunch and it looked a bit touristy inside so a bit wary. However, had a great meal for a reasonable price. Let me add that we are staying at the Leela and had a meal in their "signature" Indian restaurant the night before. Yes, in the Leela the setting was immaculate and the... More

Had vegetarian food with a friend. Ordered Bindi Masala, Maa Daal, roomali and roti with boondi raita and regular rice. Well presented and no floating oil like in many places I have eaten. Will recommend this place. Nice polite staff and impressive salute from the doorman.

The prawn spring rolls were an excellent appetizer. The vegetable fried rice was okay, and topped with the wok fried broccoli, baby corn with other saucy vegetables, it was bland and tasteless. I used the left over spring roll sauce to add flavour.

The food was decent but overpriced. More of a location for tourists. Quantities were generous though, we had enough to take away as dinner. Lunch for 2 adults and 1 child was about 2000 RS.

We were on a tour of Delhi with a guide and he brought us here for lunch. Everyone is cautious of the 'Delhi Belly' and this was only our second day in the country so we were thrilled to be taken somewhere so obviously clean and established. The waiter made a point of opening the water bottles at the table.... More

In a small crescent of New Delhi, packed between houses of under secy's lies a stretch of land famous for its Butter Chicken and Brain Curry - for people acquainted with New Delhi, this is almost synonymous to The Pindi Restaurant. The Pindi charm has not diminished over the years. Defying traditional business calculations, which put the lifespan of a restaurant at 5 to 10 years, Pindi, which serves hearty Punjabi cuisine, has been around since 1952. Shri K L Wadhwa, its founder had a vision for Pindi which has been carried out successfully through generations. With delicacies like Butter Chicken, Dal Peshawari & Kashmiri Kebabs and specialty dishes like Brain Curry, Keema Kaleji and Mutton Burra Kebab, Pindi is really about GOOD, FINGER LICKING FOOD!
