We went there on our trip to Florence. It is like stepping back in time. All we had this trip were sundaes. But amazing. Great atmosphere. Such a cool place. Definitely worth a stop and visit.

This place has been in business since before I went to college here in the 80's and really hasn't changed. Even the prices seem to be about the same as they were in the 80's. The sandwiches are great (especially the homemade pimento cheese) and the milkshakes and malts are out of this world. It's like going back in time... More

Take a step back in time from the moment you walk into this charming, old fashioned soda shop. The decor is wonderfully retro and the prices are too! Although famous for its orange pineapple ice cream, this cute shop offers plenty of other favors along with great sandwiches and soups.

This is one of our favorite places. It is small but quick service and the prices are cheap, cheap, cheap. It has been kept as original as possible and the homemade pimento cheese is a must. (I suggest buying a to go container.) The prices are very reasonable and my daughter loves the banana sandwich, chips, and floats.

The Internet search for best dessert in Florence, brought me to this old timey ice cream parlor. We're only in town for the day so I only have time for the best. I love milkshakes so I got my standard vanilla. I don't know if it's the best in town but it's pretty darn good and I highly recommend it.... More

Trowbridge's has a long history of success. Awesome soda shop! Famous for its hotdogs and ice cream, everything is good. When both of my children were in the oven, I kept Trowbridge's in business with my hotdog cravings. To this day (45 yrs later) I still love them. In my parents' later years when they ate very little, they still... More

This place totally takes you back to your youth in a very small town. I had a pimento cheese sandwich and an ice cream cone and my bill was $4.50. I'm not sure you can get an ice cream cone anywhere in the world for $1.20 except Trowbridge's'! Delightful "trow" back to my childhood! LOVED!

I visited on Aug. 22 with my daughter and granddaughter. Our order was taken by a very rude waitress with short blonde hair. I have always enjoyed eating here until this day. As with any 4 year old they only want ice cream and I had told her no several times not until she was thru eating. And as always... More

Must visit for children and grandchildren. Ole Time ice cream parlor with counter and small dining room for tables. Serves sandwiches, but go for the ice cream.

Been eating here since 1950's. Food still as good as the first time. Chicken and ham salad sandwiches to die for. Friendly southern waitresses will make you feel welcome. A must for true Florence experience.
