Great catfish restaurant. They have other stuff too, but catfish, oyster, and fired shrimp combo was what I got. All excellent, but in my case, the catfish was the top of the trio. Great service. Kind of an out of the way place... but worth the drive to the outskirsts of the city....

A dining experience back in time. Friendly people, cool environment and killer hushpuppies. Do not miss the photos on the wall.

It is a great place to go for a good but cheap lunch. Place is busy I have never had to wait for a table. Service is good and food arrives promptly.

For us locals this is THE place. For any events or just going out to eat as a family this is THE place. They have the best hush puppies and will give you as many as you can eat. You dont even have to ask since they just come by your table once your baskets get low and refill them.... More

A great find! Not much to look at in the outside but simply the best BBQ we have had in Alabama! This is a welcoming place with the nicest staff. Food comes fast and the value is unbeatable- no frills, just good BBQ. Meats are smoke perfectly, no sauce even needed. Well worth the drive into the country in a... More

Old Greenbrier, as the locals call it, is a must visit. Simple, plain catfish, chicken and BBQ nothing fancy about it, but prompt service and reasonable prices. Basic wooden tables and service that gets the food to your table quickly. Tasty stuff, been going there for over 39 years, though the ownership has changed.

Not exactly the ambiance of the ritz Carlton but if you don't mind a BBQ joint in the middle of nowhere then this is the place for you. Wonderful BBQ, especially the pork. Baked chicken is good as is the catfish. Coleslaw is sweet and vinegar based. Well worth the trip out.

If you like good, old Southern cooking - catfish, BBQ, etc............ then this is a place you will enjoy. The decor is typical of old Southern restaurants and the staff treats you like you are family, except you don't have to do the dishes.

Hubby and I went Saturday afternoon for a late lunch and we were not disappointed. I got the large whole catfish plate already planning ahead for leftovers (I got to eat it two more times!). And hubby was hungry so he went for the Combination dinner - no kidding when they say it's a lot of food! All tasted good... More
