at first i thought it was going to be one of those typical tourist eatery but i was so wrong. it felt so homey almost as if its just your next door kopitiam. it wasnt a full house when i went there which was great...for me, and my family. eventhough we didnt know anyone there but the other customers were all smiles and talking to the owners as if they have known them a lifetime. even i had a few chats here and there and didnt feel like an outsider. maybe due to its small size dining area which makes it more intimate and cozy. food was great too and very affordable. since it has limited space u might be waiting long for a seat if you are there during peak season.More

Place offers popular Malay breakfast and brunch fare. One can get really engrossed in arrays of antiques this shop displays. Parking is difficult as its just next to the touristy Jonker Walk. Beware: parking is chargeable in Melaka town on Saturday and Sunday so be...sure to have your parking coupons ready. Theres the river-walk behind the shop. Sayyid also offers unique traditional Malay house accommodation about 1km away.More

Fried rice feels like home cooked. Rustic cafe with antiques but well cleaned. A little gem in the heart of Melaka.

Wandered in for breakfast and the place was chock full of old items and memorabilia which will rekindle fond recollections of how things looked like years ago. Food choice was limited on a basic menu and prices reasonable, so not necessarily to go there on...a foodie run. More of a curiosity respite for a tourist doing the area.More

We went on a Public Holiday and they were open. It was already full house 30 minutes after opening. Our orders came quickly; full marks there. We had the Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken, Lontong and toast. The Sambal is delicious, the Lontong just the...right amont of everything. The deco brings you back in time. Prices were reasonable so you could order anything you wanted to eat. They are able to seat party of up to 5 so families eat here comfortably. Will totally recommend and come again.More

Went at 9am in the morning. Not too many people at the time. Food prepared quite quickly. I had the Nasi lemak with Ayam Rendang and it was one of the best Nasi Lemak experience that i have had. My friend had the Nyonya Laksa...and she also was very satisfied with the taste of it. Will definitely come here again and recommed it to other people to visit this eatery.More

Feeling of time travel being thrown back. A good sight esp for my kid...who has never seen all those things of yester years.. Btw... tasty home cooked food.. :)More

The look from the outside of the shop is very subtle. Out of curiosity, I step inside of the shop and immediately mesmerized by the collections. You feel like you are transported back in the old time full of memories. I lam impressed with their...selection of food, limited but prepared with full of love. I had my afternoon coffee here twice. The cafe opens from 8am to 5pm so it is an ideal place for breakfast if you want an early start touring/browsing Melaka. Had a delicious breakfast of Melaka Nyonya Laksa (a noodle dish) and tauhu sumbat (tofu filled with cucumber slices served with chili)....The couple who run the place are friendly. The memorabilias all over the shop are the owners' collection over the years. Lovely ambience to have a meal.More
