Authentic nyonya food at very reasonable prices. I was pleasantly surprised by the cincaluk omelette which was light, fluffy, and not overpowering. The salt and pepper fish was fresh and very nicely done, as was the asam pork. I had expected the omelette to be oily as usually is the case with deep fried omelettes, but not here! Two thumbs up for our experience. The restaurant also sells a variety of nyonya delicacies like kuih and tidbits - we bought some dumplings to take home with us.

We went for a late lunch to avoid the crowds but were extremely underwhelmed by the food. Nothing special nor traditional, a poor representation of Melaka Nyonya food. Pity the tourists who don't know better and flock there for an authentic meal.

Services great. Food came out within 5minutes, impressive. Ayam buat keras awesome, sambal sumbat Ikan cencaru good, cencalok egg nice, the sambal paste for lady’s finger awesome! The only I was abit disappointed was the nyonya laksa not nice, too much tumeric flavour, and the petai prawn not up to standard, because even my mum would make this dish better than here

This was my second visit to Nancy's Kitchen, it is still one of the best restaurant serving authentic peranakan cuisines. The dishes are simple and very tasty. We ordered the Ayam Buah Keluak, Chap Chye, Braised Pork, Ayam Assam, Kueh Pai Ti, Otah Otah, Nonya Chang, Bak Chang. I love all the dishes but my two favourites are Ayam Buah Keluak and Chap Chye. The Buah Keluak Nut is sold separately for RM2 each. I can eat 4-5 nuts each time. The nut stuffing and sauce is simply delicious, chicken is tender too. You must try this dish here. Since CNY is approaching, we also bought some cookies at the restaurant to bring home. Am highlighting the Prawn rolls in popia skin - it's outstanding, the best I have tasted so far. Definitely will be back here again when I visit Malacca.

This was an extremely disappointing dinner. Food was bland, and I mean really bland. The best thing we had was the chendol, which I would say was only slightly above average. And what made it worse was that as soon as they had served us, they were more interested to get us out of there so that they can fill the table again with other guests (and we actually made reservations!). This restaurant is often ranked high in many reviews, but I don’t understand why

We went to Nancy’s kitchen following a long holiday hiatus due to the pandemic. The last we visited this place, food was so delicious so we had to go again. However, we were so dissatisfied with all the dishes specifically the udang masak lemak which was so bland and not flavourful. We also ordered the sotong goreng, bendi sambal belacan and ikan bilis sambal petai which was dreadful to say the least. The dishes came surprisingly fast so it didn’t seem like they cooked it there and then. Only the PaiTee really lived up to its taste and we enjoyed it. Don’t think I’d be coming here again.

It’s our third time going to Nancy’s. We had such great experience before the pandemic, we were so looking forward to coming back. However, it was disappointing. Long q was expected. The lady (owner’s daughter) did a fine job managing the queue and assigning tables fairly and as efficiently as she could. We placed our order then sent upstairs (worst decision for us to say ok!). The main server leading the space was not interested. Table was not yet cleaned when we were up. Food didnt come till they were reminded by the lady. That’s including our drinks. We sat there for 15min, with nothing. Beef rendang was not served. He didnt even know. Asked for a cup of ice, ignored. When we finally ordered two chendols, he totally forgot (we heard him telling his colleague, he totally forgot!). He was clearing plates sweeping food down with his bare hands and then going back in to bring food out for the cust. Sorry, it was pretty shocking to watch. We had a lot of waiting time to watch. The food was still as delicious. We enjoyed it very much. It’s just so sad that the experience was a total let down. If you wanna go, just insist to have a table downstairs. Even the owner told us, that’s why everyone wants to sit downstairs. Is it just the pandemic, and we should just expect less? Honestly, we have been in the pandemic for three years now, and the whole world is moving on. We really need to move on. Covid is an overdue and over-used excuse. Move on, or the world will move on wtihout you.

I read alot of recommendation to eat at this restaurant so we decided to give it a shot. I was very sceptical about all the reviews but my husband convinced me to give it a shot. We ordered prawn petai which wasnt great, beef rendang. The beef was tender but the rendang had a very weird taste to it. The worst I’ve eaten. We also took ginger steam fish and honestly it was rubbish. The fish was tasteless. Waste of money. We wanted to also try the curry devil. As a eurasian, I can tell you that is not how curry devil taste like. Lack of flavour and spice. Cincalok omelette was acceptable but how bad can an omelette get. Overall I would never recommend anyone to this place. I believe many people goes to this place because of the amount of sites whoch recommends this restaurant. Rates for the food were given by people who does not know what the actual food taste like. I am just surprised that people will even recommend this shop and say its good. In terms of value for money. Its a big no. Portion is extremely small and price is very expensive. Our bill was RM179

We visiting on 1/1/2023 and it was very crowded. We q and waited for more than 45 minutes only became our turns but they served another bigger groups in 7 and 5 who came later than us in advance, reason given was the table can served bigger group (we were 4 of us)! Then we ordered few signature dishes included the Pai Tee but they didn't serve us this dish. While we checked with the waitress, he said the dish was no more but then we realized they served another bigger table (10 ppl came in later than us) with the Pai Tee... Overall the foods served do tasted nice but we are not happy with their service provided because the restaurant seems bias or prefer to give more privileges to visitors in bigger group!

Dishes were precooked and not served hot. Portions were small and nothing impressive. Pineapple tarts looked good but did not taste fresh. Nyonya bakchang was so so only. Overall not value for money. Unfriendly staff.

Nancy's kitchen is always my favorite nyonya restaurant whenever I visit Malacca. My recommendation is their asam pedas fish and pai tee. Cendol is a must eat! They also have a lot of freshly baked nyonya biscuits and nyonya dumplings. All are good, quality is consistent. I never walk in and walk out disappointed. I truly enjoy myself every visit!

We booked our lunch the day before and went early. Appointment at 12noon arrived at 11:05, the queue outside was 3 shops long. Waited another 20minutes and finally got a table. We tried the chicken buah keluak, beef rendang, bakwan sup, popiah and whole Assam dish. Best was the Assam fish which had just the right mix of tangy Assam, fish cooked just right. Next was the chicken buah keluak . The nutty buah keluak was creamy and went well with the chicken and gravy. The beef rendang was tasty and a tad too dry. The soup was disappointing as the meatballs were small. Service was average. Overall the food was delicious and well worth the wait. Try to book ahead or be prepared for a long wait.

Why is it so hard for Melaka's restaurants staff to show warmth and welcoming enthusiasm? At "Nancy" and other Peranakan restaurants we were sadly faced with staff who made no eye contact, did not smile or showed any warmth and talked loudly among themselves. It felt like we were eating in someone else's home and intruding on. Where is the F&B professionalism seen in HK,Thailand or Japan. In China they shout a robust " welcome , welcome or Huān yíng huān yíng, qǐng zuò , in Japan "irasshaimase" but in Melaka, they were sullen and stare at you ? Is it Covid or a habitual public response?

We ordered the fried squid, Sambal fried rice and pork dish- all three were good and tasty. The only disappointing one was the pineapple coconut milk prawn. It was bland. Otherwise a great experience. It got pretty crowded and clearly seemed understaffed. Cendol was great too! Small portion but yummy. Price wise, does feel a little on the upper side. But overall enjoyed the experience. Was a lot more worth it ordering via grab. Save on time and you get discounts!

Pretty average nyonya food. Duck soup was below average and has a slightly off smell. Assam prawns was average, same as the Tau Eew bak. No mengkuang joohoo char on menu. Cendol was average, a little stingy on the santan which was not enough. Overall slightly disappointing but maybe awesome to an amateur foodie or foreigner.
