One of the popular local street food in Malacca. There is no seating, only offer take away & limited parking nearby. Taste ordinary

Finally had my first bite of this infamous and widely spoken about snack or dessert. In fact, the first whiff is already a sign that it's worth the queue and the looooong wait for it to open in the evening. Every bite is generously filled...with fragrant gula melaka in the midst of the fresh and fine rice flour. The freshly grated coconut added to the aroma and texture. Best eaten fresh when it's piping hot.More

Super huge Putu Piring that we queued for an hour, so be prepared to queue but at least you won’t be disappointed by it. Soft and fluffy rice powder with grated coconut in between, and generous filling of gula melaka. Definitely thumbs up!

The shop opens from 6pm to 10pm and we were there early around 620pm on a Friday evening and already there was a queue formed. There was a person in-front of us who ordered 60 pieces hence, needed to wait for a while. The cooking...time was not too long and at one-go, there is a batch of about 20 pieces were being steamed simultaneously. This is by far, one of the larger pieces of putu piring that I have ever come across and at just RM1.20 per piece, this is quite a steal. Taste amazing and the gula melaka in it was really good. Must eat in Malacca.More

Having eaten the ones from Haig Road in Singapore, these ones are larger and tastier. Not just my view but most of my friends who were with me. Got to eat it there and then (within an hour) to taste the best of it. There...was no queue as we arrived when it opened at 6pm on a random Tuesday evening. It’s a short 15-20 minute walk from Jonker Street.More

Steamed rice flour cake with gula melaka (palm sugar) and grated coconut. Made upon order, it's moist, sweet, slightly salty, and fragrant (from the banana leaves). Best eaten while still warm, contain generous amount of ingredients (at RM1.20 per piece).

The putu piring sold here is very big, double the size I have seen. They put a lot of malacca sugar compared to other putu piring makers. Reminder, have to queue long to get to eat the food.

At only RM1.20 a piece and each comes piping hot, there's no reason for you to skip this stop at melaka! Super delicious putu piring with a copious amount of gula melaka within and just eat it when it's hot.. it's really good..

I usually do not queue up for food but this was an exception. The stall opens at 6 pm and when we arrived, there was already a long queue. However, the wait was well worth it. It was piping hot, generous fillings and they did...not stinge on the coconut. DELICIOUS! Truly a must-eat when you visit Malacca!More

Great little deserts. We got there just after they opened so we did not wait long. They are 1.20 MYR per piece for these delicious little treats. We bought 8 of them so we would have some for a couple of days. They are so...good fresh. Only thing I wish is that they had somewhere there where you could sit and enjoy them, but we took them over to the waterside and enjoyed them. I would go back here regularly if I lived here. Highly recommend going to get some. Also fun to sit and watch them make the Putu.More
