Very lucky to have tasted these authentic Nyonya cuisines in this cozy restaurant. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Packed with food eaters. The dishes we loved most were the Taufu satay sauce, sambal chicken and sambal ikan bilis petai. Chicken spring roll and lady fingers with...fresh chilli sauce nice. Only Pong Teh chicken wasn't taste good. The red beans in the Cendol had burnt taste.More
Ate here by chance after our first choice restaurant was closed. It's actually non -pork (though not halal) based restaurant. Dishes were good (chicken ponteh. Sayur lose. Chap chye. Petai). Chendol was amazing. Lots of local Malaysians dine here. Walking distance to Hatten Hotel.
Amazing cendol..Never tasted this type of cendol in my entire life..Their cendol is a Must try!!The chicken rendang also was superb..Asam pedas fish just okay.Bt i personally felt the price was abit expensive n they charged for the wet tissue as well..Maybe this is my...first to baba nyonya restaurant jst y i felt its slightly over priced..However the food was awesome so price doesn't matter..More
Went back to Makko on a visit back in Malacca.
Once again the food was excellent, conforming that this is by far my favourite Noyonya experience in Malacca.
We had the prawns and rendang which were great, however the whole fish stole the show.
Be...ready for a wee wait if you do a walk-in, however the food is outstanding and worth the effort.More
Went there just as they opened for business after which was packed with waiting guests.
We had Ayam Buan Keluak, Ngor Hiang and fried cod fish with chilli.
All the dishes was very good. Ayam Buan Keluak could do better if the buan keluak be...minced with some meat. Ngor Hiang was best.
Competition for Nyonya food have keen in Melaka as there are more and more Nyonya restaurant opening up.
Hope they will improve with more of their taste and dishes.
Note: Best to make a reservation or go there early.More
We enjoyed our meal!
Ordered a slew of local dishes and all are delicious. The beef rendang is tender and the rendang is very fragrant. The chicken rendang, a different kind of rendang but good too. Even a simple egg omelette was cooked with care...that it turned out fluffy and tastily seasoned.
The highlight is the eggplant! Fried/grilled till crisp on the outside and inside is the moist n soft eggplant....paired with the sambal chillie 💪.
The dessert, chendol at 4.80RM is a steal for it’s deliciousness.
By the way, the starter (crackers) is for sale at 11RM for a big pack! We took home 2 packs 😉
It’s value for $!More
