Go to Wild Coriander if you’re looking for a nicely decorated restaurant to enjoy Malaysian food. All dishes were authentic and very tasteful. The staff was caring and service was fast, special thanks to Carson. Note that kitchen might close earlier if restaurant is full,...don’t show up too late.More

We have been here on a Saturday night and people were lining up… but it wouldn’t take more than 20 min before we were seated. The food was extremely nice and we would recommend the wild coriander special with different rice and chicken redang. It...was awesome.More

Went for dinner and did not regret it. Carson took excellent care of us and gave perfect recommendation for ordering. Food came fast and tasted absolutely delicious. Try the Avocado Gula Melaka Smoothie! Perfect match for spicy food.

We went to the restaurant a weekday evening. It wasn't particularly packed. We waited for a little while before a waiting staff noticed us and told us to take one of the tables. We ordered some drinks with our food. It took about 10 minutes...for the food to arrive and that was fine but they didn't serve our drinks in the meantime. In the time that we were waiting for our food, we noticed that at least twice, the waiting staff asked some customers to take the table nearest to the door and after a few minutes, when the customers were about to order the food, they were told to move to another table. This left us wonder if that table was actually part of the waiting area until another two customers came, being led to the table and managed order and finish the meals without being moved. Our food came and I reminded the waiter about the drinks but they didn't arrive and we were about to finish our food. So we asked another waiting staff to chase them up. He went and finally gave us three out of the four drinks one by one and by then, we had already finished our food. And one of us was still waiting for her drink. It took more chasing up for her to finally get her drink. I have never been to a restaurant when I receive my drink after I finish my meal. They always serve drinks when you are waiting for your food. When I went in, I wanted to order a chendol after the meal but I am sorry to say, I did not place the order because of the delay in getting our drinks. No one apologized for the delay in serving us drink either. They really need to do better in customer service.More

Great authentic Nonya food near Jonker Walk. Chicken Rendang was fantastic. We were served by Carson — he is very welcoming and gives great food recommendation.

Lovely people and delicious food. Accommodating and efficient staff despite a busy evening and lack of staff. A showcase of a true Malaysian hospitality! Many thanks to Carsen who looked into our every whimper. Well done for bringing the best of Malacca in food and...hospitality.More

The nyonya food were not authentic. The beef rendang is more like beef in satay sauce. The prawn lemak nanas was overpowering and taste weird. Disappointing meal.

This restaurant serves Nyonya and Malay dishes that are reasonably priced in a traditional and unique shophouse that retains the atmosphere of a traditional nyonya house which gives this restaurant an excellent location and atmosphere The food especially the Udang nenas dish was excellent ....The signature beef rendang dish to us was average as it seem that they could have been simmered a little longer as it tasted as thought it was recently unfrozen . The other dishes such as the chendol and eggplant was average . The service was also good and better than the old traditional nyonya restaurants that have been around for a few decade where the service was non-existent and surly . The service staff would try to engage in conversation with you - this would appeal to tourists who wish to eat local food and experience good service - something the old nyonya restaurants in Melaka Raya and Jonker Street area can seriously learn from . We stopped visiting those Nyonya restaurants as the dishes are the same old and the service are non existent . The wait staff messed up the food order but they did make an attempt to make amends and do service recovery by apologizing and providing a ‘we are sorry ‘ dessert - something the old nyonya restaurants will never do . As such, based on these criterion I mentioned , I rate this restaurant as very good . - for service, external environment and typical nyonya dishes . Price wise , it is similar to other Nyonya restaurants.More

We had been here when they first opened in 2017 and they have improved the decor in the place. We ordered the 4 coloured rice, laksa noodles, fried mee siam, selar fish filled with chincalok, iced avocado all round and cendol. All relative small portions...but tasty. Headed to the back entrance for photo opportunities alongside the Malacca river. Also done up to improve the landscape and the lighting.More

We were excited to come and try this restaurant as it's higy rated. I had booked our table for 4 people days in advance. But when we arrived at 7.30pm, they had not reserved us a table and had given them all away to walk-in...customers. They then started moving customers who were already sat down to make room for us. It was embarrassing and awkward! The waiter was very friendly and brought over our drinks quickly. But we waited 40 mins for our Top Hat starters and an hour for our Mains. I had the Rendang Wild Coriander special with 4 different types of rices. They all tasted very similar, except for the coconut rice. The rendang sauce was nice but the beef needed to be slow cooked for longer as it was a bit chewy. They told us they had just opened up after CNY, and they clearly weren't ready. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience.More

Beautiful ambience & authentic nyonya food coupled with excellent service by staff especially Carson who serves with a smile. Loved their signature dishes, difficult to select the best. Though their sago pudding was a hit with my son😊

Our hotel staff recommended Wild Coriander which closed late at 10pm & within walking distance. Thumbs up for overall amazing service (especially Carson who went out of his way to make us feel so welcome), good dishes (we had pai tee, rojak, rendang, chendol). Definitely...a local joint based on customers there. Walk through the restaurant to the canal for after dinner stroll. Prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended.More

I believe it is pork free and I know alcohol is served. I am thinking it is perhaps not Halal, but there is contact information of their Facebook page as well as a website so maybe contact them. Great food there by the way.

Traditional Malaysia food - beef, lamb, chicken dishes. Two of us had 2 courses with lots of drinks for about £10. Excellent value and fab food.
