My friend who reside in Melaka took me to this place for lunch and wow!! the food is super good. The lontong that I ordered was really very good just like how I remember my aunt used to make. The beef rendang is so tender and flavorful, perfectly done!
The nasi goreng kampung is also how it should be. Delicious and flavorful like those yesteryears cooking.
The place is simple, kampung style. Nothing glam and all but is not hot and stuffy although we were there at the hottest time of the day.
Go and try their food! Asam pedas and nasi lemak are good too!!

Very fragrant and fluffy nasi lemak kukus! Besides the usual condiments of ikan bilis, ground nuts, egg, cucumber, you also get some boiled kangkong! Of course it comes with the sweet and spicy sambal. You can also ask for prawns, sotong kering, kerang sambal etc. 😘😘

Had dinner tonight at this quite popular shop in Ujong Pasir in Melaka that serves green (cooked with pandan extract) nasi lemak with a little twist ~ their fried squid, chicken, popcorn chicken, fried shrimp does come with a sauce topping - buttermilk (with curry leaf), cheese or mozzarella.
The rice is fragrant with strong hint of pandan, sambal is spciy with a tad of sweetness and the deep fried proteins are fresh and crunchy.
I particularly like the buttermilk sauce although my friend said the cheese is nice too ( i am not a big fan of the cheddar-like cheese sauce).
Cost wise is about RM10-15 per item. Quantity was large ~ definitely fills you up with a serving.
Worth while to go check it out if you are around. The place is a little hidden in a kampung shack about a 100 meter off the main road. Waze will get you there.

Default nasi lemak costs rm3 + fried egg. Probably a bad idea to drop in during the fasting month without booking in advance as almost all of the side dishes are sold out/pre-ordered by 7pm. But the pandan-coloured rice + sambal are really worth the high reviews.

I've frequented this place since 2 years ago and still feel they have good food for breakfast and pre-lunch. The shop opens from 7am till finish. It's better to come before 1pm to avoid disappointment. The popular dishes there are the nasi lemak itself, shakshuka, kacang poul, laksa nyonya, soto ayam, and various kuih-muih. The drinks are also made without discounting any ingredients. Very popular during weekends and public holidays. Parking is quite easy as they open the empty lot next to the gerai for people to park, otherwise it will be a hassle because the gerai is situated along a small kampung road, near SRK Ujong Pasir.

The stall is inside the coffee shop opposite from the entrance to the Portugese Settlement. Get there early as by 11 am not much is left. Simple nice nasi lemak. Have a choice of sambal kerang, fried chicken, sambal ikan bilis and fried tempe. Simply delish!!

My family and I are repeat customers and we love their nasi lemak so much.
There is one stall inside Ming Huat restaurant and another one in a wooden shack down the road which is run by another sibling.
Everything is delicious! But they ran out of cockles, the last time I went so I was pretty devastated. The fried chicken, sotong etc made up for it.
The sambal is the winner, makes a whole lot of difference.

This nasi lemak stall attached to Ming Huat Restaurant along Jalan Ujong Pasir may pass off as just another Nasi Lemak stall in Malacca. You'd be dead wrong. What you did not realise is that this is the best Nasi Lemak available in Malacca. This is a well kept secret of the locals and little to no tourists ever comes here.
The Nasi Lemak rice was cooked to perfection, perfectly balanced between the aromatic flavour derived from the coconut milk and saltiness, just enough to excite your palate. The sambal that came along with it was spicy, least sweet and packed a real punch. The other usual condiments were the fried anchovies, peanuts and blanched kangkung.
We ordered our Nasi Lemak with a healthy serving of sambal sotong, fried egg and freshly fried chicken drumstick. Needless to say, we lapped up every bit of it and was left craving for more
