Expensive and not great food at all

Ordered the oxtail. It was not very tasteful. But worst of all, there was hardly any meat in it. Both me and my travel companion were still hungry after this meal. Also, where we sat there was music coming from the reception and the restaurant...itself. It was so noisy and sounded horrible as we had to listen to two different melodies. Also, it might be a cultural thing, but why does the restaurant manager have to sit in the restaurant and work. Does she not have an office? It makes the place feel like an open space office and not a restaurant. And, after Malaysian standard this restaurant is really expensive. The only reason why it does not get a one, is because the waiter was very nice and polite.More

had tea at the Axis

No one at the lounge when we visited. ordered a cofee and a beer and a samosa set. It took them forever to get the samosa set. Nice ambiance, nice set-up but not a great place for service, and samosa which finally appeared tasted blend...and very normal.More

A nice selection and variety !!

If you arrive 30 - 60 minutes after opening the experience is great. If before, not so good. Staff does not arrive on time so some options are not available and some of the food is not maintained properly.More

Nice but lacks some atmosphere

The Axis Lounge serves as somewhat of a coffee shop during the day although bar drinks are available at any time and a bar at night. Whilst staying at the Doubletree I enjoyed coffee in the Axis on several occasions and partook in half price...drinks for happy hour one evening whilst enjoying a burger for dinner. Not bad prices in pleasant surrounds. I found service to be good. It lacks some atmosphere perhaps because it was always almost empty when I was there. You wouldn’t readily know that it serves coffee/cake during the day and needs some more promoting. Whilst I received complimentary light refreshments as a Hilton Diamond member perhaps to promote the place a little more Hilton should consider issuing a complimentary welcome drink voucher to all guests for use. One drink could often lead to two and a meal purchase etc and may promote some more foot traffic.More

Really nice bar

Staying at the Hilton Doubletree which is a great hotel. Had a few drinks over at the Axis Lounge bar which I found to be great. Good selection of drinks and great service. Really a nice place to grab that late night Single Malt!More

Family's trip

Newly hotel. Room is spacious with a nice sea view. However a little far from jonker walk and place of interest by walking. There are shopping mall below the hotel but not fully operational yet. The hotel staff customer service is excellent. Let but not...least, breakfast is good.More
