The food we ordered tasted good. But, the service and atmosphere in this small and modest restaurant was cold and unfriendly. Staff seem unwilling to meet customer's need. They directed us to a table right next to the entrance. We asked for a different table...and got a glum face and the silent treatment. We were early and there were no other customers. We asked for our beverage to be heated up because it was lukewarm. We were told it can't be done because the restaurant does not have a microwave. So, we requested for drink to be reheated over a stove instead. That was met with silent resistance. So we asked for a glass of hot water to mix into our beverage, so our drink is hotter. That was delivered to us, but they were not embarrassed to charge for the hot water...small amount, and it is not the money but that underscores the poor staff attitude. Throughout our meal, we felt the cold unfriendly atmosphere in this restaurant. You would think that with business generally down, owners would try harder to please customers. Not here, for sure. Pity... we will never return to such an unpleasant place where you feel the staff simply wants you to eat, pay up and leave.More

Tasty homecooked Nyonya food. Loved the squid masak lemak the most. This restaurant is simple and humble. Gotta go back for more!

Went there on a Sat night (around 8pm) and it was crowded. Had to wait for awhile before a table was available. It was definitely worth the wait. The Nyonya dishes were authentic and good. My favourite was the sotong lemak, and I would recommend...that. Food came out quite fast and the staff always served with a smile. I didn't know the restaurant closes at 8.30pm and there were still a few customers inside. Throughout, the staff never chased anybody out, which was commendable service.More

Overall we enjoyed the home cooked taste of the Nyonya dishes we had such as Gulai Lemak Nenas, Sambal Terung, Cencalok Omelette and Ikan Goreng Cili Garam. The cendol was good too.

We enjoyed the traditional Nyonya dishes especially the Chengdol and beef rendang. We were there at 1 plus pm on a Friday. Had to wait some 15-20 minutes. Food service was a little slow. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the food and prices were very reasonable.. Noticed...there was another famous Nyonya restaurant across the road that had a very long queue.More

Lousy food if you compare with other restaurant. Need to share table as well. Go and try Baba Charlie for their lunch but not their spring rolls and pohpiah.

We have been visiting this restaurant when go to Malacca. It serves really yummy nyonya food especially chicken ponteh, kangkong belacan and dessert chendol. It's a family business and we found the price is very reasonable for such a good quality food. It's a must...to visit this restaurant when you are looking for authentic nyonya food in Malacca.More

My friend and I accidentally went into this restaurant because the place we want to eat for lunch was closed. Surf in websites some left bad comments make us worried when waiting for food to be served. Surprisingly the dishes we order all good in...taste. Pongteh not tat savoury compared to the other restaurant that I went the other day. Kangkung sambal, cendol, fried rice all tasted nice. Fair price, good food, deserves our thumb up. guys and gals, go give it a try, what are you waiting for?!More
