We decided to give this eatery a try on account of over 2k reviews in google. Its basically a seafood outlet.
Seafood in Melaka comes in many flavours: Chinese (as they are usually), Nyonya, Portuguese (both are Malacca flavours) and Malay (hinging on spicy and grills). Parameswara is Malay.
Saturday night is the most packed night so we had to deal with congestion leading to the parking and long queues.
This place is open 5pm. Do come before 6:30pm to avoid the crowd on weekend or come on weekdays. The place is by the mangrove seaside where you can see boats and catch the sunset.
How to go about: join the queue; you will be assigned a table and a table number flag (after temperature scan). Place the flag at the table. Walk to join another queue to choose your catch of the day: prawns, crabs, fish etc. (Prices are clearly displayed so you wont be caught by surprise). They will weigh your selection and bill it. Tell them how you want each of your selection done. They can even recommend it; how kind of them.
Walk back to your table and wait for your dishes. Meantime, a waiter will come to take your order of rice and drinks. Peddlers may also come and offer you things like fruits and other stuff (pay cash as they are not part of the eatery biz).
What we had. The steamed sea bass was bland and lack punch (not recommended), butter prawns was okay (they fried it with nestum), batter fried squids was average, vege was overdone. The star is the skate, grilled with chilly paste. This is recommended. Rice was clumpy and sticky; unsuitable for sea food fare.
Do give it a try as the prices wont dent your wallet.

Some how rather in my personal opinion most ikan bakar restaurant in melaka is over rated they used to be good before but as more people visiting i just felt the quality of food dropped. Parameswara is another example few years back if people ask me where to eat in melaka for dinner this restaurant will be my recommendation for quality of food and price. Nowadays price still ok food wise still ok but not excellent

Average food and over rated. Probably due to covid 19 effect very limited choices on fish. Food was ok not great. Service was good. Restaurant tidy and comfortable enough. Butter prawn was so so. Curry crab wrong choice. Nasi lemak great. Ikan bakar Jenahak and terubok was good. Fruit juices was just too sweet. Pricing was ok not too expensive and not too cheap either. Its just part of a must do thing when you are in Melaka.

Order ikan pari bakar sambal, ikan siakap stim, sotong goreng tepung, kailan ikan masin, kerang bakar and kupang sambal. Taste not tasty for us except sotong goreng tepung, kerang bakar and ikan stim.
You need to queue for your turn to choose seafood.

Big Clean restaurant.It can cater to big families.Ample parking space.But too bad the food is below average.So fish ordered were over cooked.The sambal taste for lala and prawn are like multi purpose sambal.Siakap 3 rasa isn’t fresh and gravy just lack taste.Not a place where you can find good reasonable seafood but a place for gathering.

This is our only seafood hang out when we visit melaka. We love the fast and organised system of ordering here. Tried the :
Nasi Lemak - 5* (must have!)
Fish- Steamed, Sweet Sour and Tiga Rasa 5*
Sotong - Sotong goreng tepung 5*
Prawns - Butter cereal (min 300gm order) 4* Veggies soup and Tom Yum soup - 3.5*

We first drove to Muara on a week night n the place was full n there was a looong queue. We then drove to Umbai. Found ample parking! We walked in n greeted by many stall owners on our way to Ikan bakar Parameswara. They have a good working system
Step 0...go find an empty table of your liking n take down the number..important step.
Step 1...choose your seafood...we chose Pari, jenahak, sotong n udang n Kangkung as our vege dish.
Step 2...choose the cooking type...we chose the bakar with sambal for pari n asam pedas for jenahak. Sotong goreng tepung n udang nestum. Kangkung garlic.
Step 3...go to your table with the bill.
Step 4...order your drinks n rice
Step 5...they serve nasi lemak ...a must have. A server would also serve rojak buah n Sotong kangkung...but we had to decline...nasi lemak was delicious.
Step 6...enjoy the dishes.. we didn't wait long...
We liked all the dishes...pari sambal n Sotong goreng tepung were our top choice!
Definitely must go again!

1st of all the price is considered cheap campare to same style and menu in penang area. I can say its 60% cheaper. Nice view, convenience place as enough seat for large group.

Food was fresh and reasonable priced. Service a bit lacking as staff tried to cope with the crowds.
Nasi lemak was nice but didn’t have ikan bilis or it will be better.

Awesomeness next to the sea!!! Place is huge... & people comes in full load buses!!! Opens business only at 5pm (means u get to choose ur fish only at 5pm on the dot) & close on every Monday!!!
