Wonderfully fresh seafood , welcoming service , worth a visit . A malacca secret place.

Slightly out of town a 20 rm grab and back . The food was wonderful, very fresh and shown to us and a clear choice of styles of cooking explained for us to choose . Price was very reasonable Anghelo the manger made us feel very welcome and it will be a place to eat every time in malacca. Certainly looking forward to my next visit there for the great seafood .

"Good food with good ambiance"

The service really good even tho during my visit it was packed due to new year eve but the staff managed to handle the order accordingly. Food was fantastic well done cooked and affordable price. I just loved the atmosphere kinda peaceful and romantic and it suits for any couples to celebrate their wedding anniversary or birthday celebration. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

Great food, great service, nice location

Since the last 20 years when I come to Melaka I visit Bert‘s Garden. The food, especially the seafood is outstanding but the Nasi Lemak, noodles and satay are also great. Not only the food is great but the service as well. Ron always gives us a warm welcome any times. The location is a bit out of Melaka in a big and nice garden directly by the seaside. You also can enjoy the sunset there. I will definitely come again!

Mediocre Place, Poor Service & Average Food

1. Rude staff who just don't care about customers/diners. In fact, they don't take pride in their own work. They argue between themselves as orders often ended up at wrong table numbers. 2. Service is awful. Waited between 45 minutes to an hour before we got our first of many orders. That too after we politely prompted a staff that we had a toddler who was hungry. 3. Beware of bugs/ants/mosquitos. A bug of sort ended up on one of our dishes as tables are placed under the tree. 4. There's nothing really scenic. Overated would be an understatement. 5. Food is average, not fresh and unnecessarily greasy. Saw fish (fish & chips) which were fried in advance and kept. Ironically, even the pre-cooked food took forever to be served. 6. Only consolation is the live band. A couple who belted out lovely numbers to stop the (frustrated/agitated) crowd from leaving. Will strongly discourage people from visiting this overated eatery.

Good food. Love the bbq sotong best! Good live music and great for hanging out with friends. It was quite nice to sit outside on a full moon night!

👎👎劝大家，别来！不要花钱还要看服务员脸色受罪，尤其是她们的女员工，莫名其妙自己送餐送错餐桌，还对我们翻白眼，无言，食物味道还可以..... 啦服务态度真的需要改，上菜真心慢！！！人手不足，客人多，什么都是借口，好的餐厅不管客人多还是少，态度还是要有！！！！The servant's attitude seriously poor, so rude. Poor service is inexcusable👎

Found this place thanks to google.about 30mins from the city View of the straits obscured by a bank so it was pretty much a small lagoon view Food was average,service decent and prices reasonable

What can I say.... good food. It’s also a beer garden. The location is quite out of the way and it’s very unassuming. Far away from town. Prices are a bit high but the food is good. If you’re nearby do drop in. Happy eating.

I and my partner went here for first time . Unfortunately thia restaurant is huge but only few tables are facing the sea ,and most of it are reseved. But if can go on the sunset time and you wont miss the evening view of the sea. The food was good . They hv nasi lamak , western foods and alao a bar se up with good beers selections. . The price is consider ok for a tourist place like melaka . This shop located nearly ± 10 km from melaka city centre. Follow tje costal road near klebang to Sg udang. Can Waze. Can tey a day for dinner here if stay at melaka .

Great dining view

Was at Bert's Garden for dinner with my partner. The restaurant is situated next to the sea and it was breath taking at night. Food was great and service was good. Enjoyed the ambience and the beer garden.

Old changi Beach vibes

Take a short coastal drive out of Malacca, passing through rustic malay kampongs, and you'll find Bert's garden in a little lane facing the lagoon. An old colonial house greets you upon arrival, pick your seafood from their chiller, order how to you want it done - grilled, fried, baked, whatever. Then order a beer from their pub and watch the sunset while you dine al fresco. Perfect island-vibes, a nice getaway from the chaos of Malacca. Food was good, but not the best you can find in Malacca. I would go here for the ambience, a nice relaxing way to catch up with your travel buddies.

Do not buy the butter lobster coz ita just a gigantic FLOSS

Ordered lobster for the family, was served after all dishes were served appx 30min. From the looks if it, seems like theres a lot of meat, but when we opened the shell, theres only less than 15pcs of chopped lobster meat covered in gigantic floss costing 275RM! Bullcrap...Very disappointing. Staff were very friendly, but just save your cash and buy 1kg of lobster in SG @ $55 instead.

Came here because of the good rating & recommendations. We arrived the same time wt another group. Yes, we dont have any reservation, yet they still allow us in. The restaurant was quiet. Not so many customer, except us, the group and a few tables is occupied. We was rushed by the waiter for the order coz he said the group might make out order taking longer time to make. We are still ok wt that. After order has been made, the waiter came back to us and told us they can proceed wt our main course coz they need to proirotized the group order and asked us to changed our order. My husband went to see the manager in charge Miss Amanda ti check on this. At first, she said they cant make it. After my husband make a lot of noise that its unfair to treat customer like this, only sge agree to proceed wt our order. Feeling foolish by the her attitute, we left the restaurant and just pay for the super sweet over price ice lemon tea that they served us. Anyway, the group was just anskall group. Less than 20 pax. I dont see why they cant cater small group plus walk in customer if so many people claimed they are so good. Overall nothing good here.
