There was a queue but quick to move. Lok-lok are sticks dip in the soup and they used boiling satay sauce instead of boiling water. The satay sauce was too spicy for me, and I recommend that you order the Plum juice. I had a feel the Satay sauce is shared among the tables, but overall the food is good.

one of the pioneers in satay celup, come as early as 4 pm to avoid the queue. The food is so-so, as "lok-lok" is widely available in other place. However, the novelty of eating it in peanut satay sauce instead of the usual chicken soup or tomyam soup is a rather nice experience.

Went there on Sunday night at 5.45pm. A long queue were formed. Was told need to wait for at least 2 hours. So we gave up. Went back on Monday at 4pm. Get a table easily. the food was ok. The only question keeps lingering on my mind is will the satay sauce be recycled since all customers left behind... More

This restaurant is a must-see in Melaka. It opens up at 5 pm and the people often line up in front of the restaurant to get a table. The price is very low and the taste sooo delicious! Per stick you pay 1 RM and there are many differemt sticks with veggies, meat and other stuff. Also the sauce is... More

I love satay, I love peanit sauce and I thought I loved it even more in this fondu version. So I came here on my birthday to eat myself full of Satay. The fact that we also went to eat somewhere else afterwards says enough. I had so much better Satay with peanutsauce at several places that I don't understand... More

No doubt I'm a super satay fans of this shop, but previously I was somehow disappointed on the sweetness and lack of spicy. As of today I tried a new level of spiciness the boss told me previously were fried by foreign workers and due to taste issue which complaint by regular customers so then the boss decided to hold... First up, be prepared to stand for at least 15 minutes to half an hour because the queue can be quite long during peak hours. But everything was worth the wait! The food ingredients taste so good with their kuah kacang gravy soup. LOVE IT!

The beauty of Malacca is its food and street scenes. As you wait for your turn to be seated, cars bicycles and the ocassional trucks and buses passes the queue. Why so many people join the queue night after night? Simply for the taste of the original Satay Celup which has existed for 5 generations ...yes, 5 generations. Excitedly, our... More

First of all, this place is over-hyped. The sanitary condition is really bad. There is a difference between looking "old-school" and downright dirty. The choice of food on skewers is rather limited and unappetising. The servers' faces are all black. WORST OF ALL, I realised that they recycle the gravy which is used for cooking. Granted that this kind of... More
