Never been here but heard some good things about Central. First impression wasn't good, it was incredible!! Everything I tasted and saw was really delicious and had great eye appeal. This is now on my To Do list from now on.

Recently stopped in Montgomery on the way to NOLA and besides being very impressed by the city, we were blown away by how incredible Central was in downtown. Great atmosphere, great selection, and wait staff was beyond helpful with recommendations. I ordered a pork chop that was very tender and delicious. Best thing by far was the pimento mach and... This gem is easily missed from The Alley side of the business. There are lime green chairs on their Alley porch that scream "super casual beach bar" like Pineapple Willy's. We were checking out the area. When we made the block to the "front" street entrance, we thought it was a whole different establishment. What a contrast from the impression... More

We had dinner at Central on a Tuesday night based on a recommendation. It was very busy and noisy as there was a convention in town. We had a reservation and were seated a little early. Our waiter, Jason, greeted us and took our drink order. He was friendly, knew the menu well, and provided excellent service. He recommended we... More

Cavernous venue and the sound level is noticeable. Not a place for an intimate meal especially if you’re seated at the tables. The food had more hits than misses. House lavosh with pimento cheese (once it warmed up) was good. Shrimp Po’boy earned wife’s highest praise. Spicy Cauliflower seemed intriguing, but was not spicy, not hot and accompanying shrimp were... More

I just had the best filet steak of my life. When I cut intonit, I heard angels.singing. When I put a piece in my mouth, it was as if an angel kissed me right on the lips.

I had dinner here in the midst of a whirlwind downtown visit on a Friday night. The service and the food were excellent and the beverage options were wide. An enjoyable dining experience.

The flavor of the food was excellent. Steak was cooked perfectly. Enjoyed sitting at bar close to the Alley. Great cocktails and socializing spot.

Ok So I spent my younger years in Montgomery and except for a cafe here and there ( Ran into then Governor George Wallace in one) it was a fairly boring place. That has changed. The downtown area has undergone a renaissance as such and Central is a big part of it. The restaurant near the ballpark has an open... More

Found this place through TripAdvisor. I is on a side street out of the way a little bit and I mean very little. The place is full at lunch time with business people and the service and food was great
