Location, is ok. Nothing spectacular or notable around, besides the fact that it's close to Chang Le road and Wu Kang road. Food is ok, the price is good for what you pay for. The up side is that the kitchen closes at 23:30 which I think it's pretty late for shanghai standard. It's some-what classy but probably in the... More

I will highlight the lunch deal where only 65rmb gets you a main + a drink. I often go for the burger, which normally alone costs more and the quality is absolutely decent for this price. And for drink you can choose soft drink or tea/coffee. We often sit here and work/read. It is a quiet place on weekdays and... More

A co-worker was here in Shanghai two different times for work (about 1 year each time) and stayed very close to the restaurant the first time and since his meals were paid for by the project he ate here at least once a day. When he found out I was coming here for a two year assignment he suggested I... More

By far, this is the friendiest resyaurant in all of Asia. Of course I am biased as I have become a friend of the owner, John Wang. The food is terrific and very Italian-American. The restaurant is two floors and drinks are served, The upstairs is more of a lounge and very relaxing. He offers free Wi Fi with any... More

I would rate Tima Harbour as an excellent, all things considered, place to try. We go there quite often because of its proximity to our apartment. As others have commented, the waiter, Romeo, is just a really nice guy and he is there to provide service and does! I would rate Romeo as excellent if there was a category for... More

First, the service is very good and most servers speak very good English. I have eaten here several times because I work down the street. The price is a little high for the amount of food you receive. However, the porch is nice for a drink on a warm day.

The owner John and his team are excellent- the food is first rate right down to the presentation. The coffee and breakfast like right out of italy - It is a gathering place to relax and enjoy - just cannot be beat especially with such low prices.

Staying in Zhongshan Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Zhongshan Park
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
