Wow, what a way to end a meal of paellas, pulpas de papa, and then end with just sucky coffee. But love the view and wines!

Spent an entire evening here with a large group over drinks and dinner. Location seemed good with indoor seating (tables lined up like railway carriages) and deck overlooking the river. They wine was ok. Absolutely NO appetisers served even though we started at 6pm. Waiters were tired but seemed to be doing their best. Really nice Peruvian Live band for... More

Myself and a friend ordered the seafood paella and it came out baked. It was clearly over cooked (or had been prepared earlier and then re heated?). The fish was all dry and inedible. The prawns could not be peeled as they were so dry. The paella rice had a crusty skin on it. I complained and was told their... More

Two families went there. Services were good. Lamb chops and cheese platter were delicious. the ham they served was 24mths and i would expect something better. Overall food quality and service were good and the price was reasonable. Could be a good try as you may enjoy the view there

Unfortunately disappointing. Had heard great things about this place from my friends so decided to take my girlfriend there for her birthday- was not the birthday treat I was expecting. Aside from receiving poorly presented food after a 45 minute wait, it took us ordering a new round of drinks 3 times before actually receiving them.

Having recently moved to Shanghai we are busily exploring this fabulous city. We headed down to the lujiazui river side to explore this restaurant precinct. We chose La verbena because we hadn't yet had any spanish cuisine in Shanghai This restaurant precinct is a pleasant spot - and provides a different perspective of the river and bund opposite if you... Walking along the boardwalk of the Huangpu River, past the riverboat wharf we came across a number of restaurants. Each is well spaced from the other with out door settings and river views. We chose La Verbana as we felt like something different to Shanghai cuisine. The choice was excellent. A young Chinese speaking Philippino is the senior waiter and... More

we were recommended to this nice restaurant tucked away behind trees and away from the hustle and bustle of shanghai's citylife. the tapas were served in good (not too large) portions which allowed us to have a variety of food at an affordable price. a special mention to their desserts made in-house: we had the chocolate lava cake which was... For a "Catalan-themed" restaurant, there were not a lot of "Catalan" items on the menu. And the ones that were, the actual dishes were not quite the way they were described in the menu. A "ravioli with ceps and Iberian ham" turned out to be just a regular omelette with julienned salted ham that could just have been regular salted... More

Staying in Lujiazui

Neighbourhood Profile
When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
