I've been here only one time in September 2016 for business dinner. Atmosphere is here unformal. Anyway, reservation if not required is welcome because the restaurant for dinner is frequently crowded. The dinner was a great surprise. Other dumplings I tried before everywhere in the...More

So many different dumplings. The variety is interesting and you can get other things, such as pea shoot greens (highly recommended). They are smallish and to be eaten with a spoon because of the soup within the skin. Such a delicious delight.

The look and feel is maybe a little like a cantine. But the food is great and it's also a place where westerners can order easily. Go and enjoy the dumplings. But be prepared to pay premium prices.

The refurbishment of a block of old shikumen into a
carless entertainment center called Xintiandi, filled
with restaurants, shops and bars, turned this area
below South Huangpi Road into one of Shanghai’s most
fashionable areas. Luxe condos house people who can
afford the high-end brands that fill the malls and
shops along Madang Road. The pleasant Taipinghu Park
provides the area with green space and is also home to

Ding Tai Fung does not post their prices online. The queue could be long during meal times, however, they would give you a menu to order ahead of time. This list would indicate the prices to you. It may be slightly more... More
