Wow. This restaurant could make me a vegetarian for life. Every dish was incredible. It's not a fancy restaurant, but there's a reason it's one of the highest rates in TripAdvisor of all restaurants, not just vegetarian. It was better than Wujie on the Bund -- which is much fancier. In retrospect, I wish we had just gone back to... More

I went to the outlet at Fengxian Road, a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of the Nanjing West Road metro station on Line 2. Easy to reach there even with luggage. I was so pleased with this place that I went back for 4 meals in 5 days. I tried the Mapo Doufu (spicy tofu), which was consistently good. The... More

This restaurant offers very good vegetarian dishes at decent price. The main entree size is good, some of the dishes serve small portion for the price, however the taste is good.

Finding vegetarian food in China can be tricky so this place seemed like an oasis in a desert. We ordered a few different dishes to share, most were delicious, one was totally disappointing (shrimps in pandan leaves or something like that). But it made a very nice alternative, as I say, glad I went but because the food wasn't amazing,... More

My friend and I shared about 5 dishes including a curry soup, mushroom szechuan, a noodle dish, a celery/mushroom/onion, a spinach dish and had a carrot/celery/lemon juice. All visually pleasing to the eye and glorious to the taste buds. Friendly service, bright airy, sizable dining area (there were some private rooms. Definitely leaped to one of my favorite restaurants on... More

I was invited to eat at this place the first time when I moved to Shanghai two years ago. Since them it's been one of my favorite go to spots. The food is amazing and will turn any carnivore into a vegetarian, kudos to the creative mind behind this healthy spot! Plus it is so reasonably priced!

We enjoyed eating here so much that we came back and tried it again a few nights later. The atmosphere is pleasant as were the staff. The menu was incredibly varied. You could come back every day of the week and order a completely different set of dishes every day. I must say though that although we enjoyed everything we... More

Great restaurant with a very varied menu. Simple and affordable. Great taste. Try the fresh juices. The restaurant also has a small sop where they sell vegetarian products. I love their reice toothpicks.

We came here twice mainly for the yummy vegetarian spare ribs, which were a panacea for my recently turned vegetarian partner. It's hidden down a dark alleyway opposite a fancy hotel/club and is a tad on the expensive side (if you're cheap). The corn flavoured tea we were served was interesting, if strange, but the service was prompt even though... More

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
