I am visiting this place for the third year in a row. Always get back for Scallops with Garlic. This is something you want to repeat again and again. I have ordered this three times today. They have great wines that go well with this. Love the place.

When we are in Shanghai we always go for a lunch at TMSK. There are not so much restaurants with a terrace in Shanghai but this one has a nice situated one at the square with the fountain. We like the small dishes you can share with your company. The staff might be slow but the food is excellent. Enjoy... More

Had a fantastic afternoon tea last Sunday, the best coffee and tiramisu ever I've had. Just you know in XTD the service is below the market, but doesn't matter for a simple afternoon.

Nice restaurant in this sooooooo lovely place in Shanghai ! We ordered several asian dishes to share ("popcorn" fried chicken, mixed vegetables, vegetables rolls, fried shrimps, ...) and they were all really good and tasty. Cocktails are nice as well ! Prices are a bit higher because of the situation but not so high in TMSK. The only drawback is... More

Bit difficult to be seen by the waiters. They don't take notes of our order and bring wrong dishes. Beautiful desserts but I didn't want to try and have to wait even more. Poor vegetarian options.

We came to this restaurant because the menu seems to have food very familiar to us, western style food. We were very happy with the food, very tasty. However, the staff were not very friendly and have difficulty understanding English. The staff was giving us attitude when we ask for a colder beer and was unwilling to make any changes.... More

Upmarket setting with moody atmosphere. Some might find it a little dark, but we liked the intimacy of both the decor and the lighting. The delicious food was wonderfully prepared and the helpful staff talked us through the ingredients with a smile. As cherry on the pie, we also had an authentic musical performance with very talented, but discrete musicians... More

Staying in Xintiandi

Neighbourhood Profile
The refurbishment of a block of old shikumen into a carless entertainment center called Xintiandi, filled with restaurants, shops and bars, turned this area below South Huangpi Road into one of Shanghai’s most fashionable areas. Luxe condos house people who can afford the high-end brands that fill the malls and shops along Madang Road. The pleasant Taipinghu Park provides the area with green space and is also home to Shanghai Fashion Week twice a year. It’s not all glitter and glamour, though, as the rise of Danshui Road has given the Xintiandi area a shot of toned-down character. Small bars and cafes, mostly owned by locals, have people hanging out in a formerly quiet, unassuming part of the neighborhood.
