We had a nice Friday night dinner ( before party at Bar Rouge). The classic French food was utter delight, wine list is varied and good value for China. Waiters where attentive and made the evening fantastic, after dinner we got fast tracked up to...More

We asked friends of ours who had lived in Shanghai for restaurant recommendations and their number 1 choice was Mr and Mrs Bund and I have to say I would agree. The service was very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is relaxed but very professional...More

I went there at lunch time on Sunday with my family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Nice location on the Bund with a nice view, but you need to book well in advance if you want a table near the window. French cuisine, high price,...More

This place is for sure the best restaurant (except for Ultraviolet, but only few people get the chance to go) in Shanghai. Dish after dish you think, you just finished the best thing you've tasted in your life. We went with four people, two couples...More

My fiancé and I had booked this venue for dinner few weeks in advance as seats by the window with the view on Shanghai Bund are highly demanded. We arrived a bit earlier than our booking and were taken to the bar while our table...More

Food was mediocre and portion was huge. Great place to view the skyline from the outdoor patio. However service needs to be improved whenever there's a crowd.

Even if the weather was not our side - scorching heat and torrential rains - Mr and Mrs Bund was one of the few Bund Shanghai restaurants we wanted to go to and we were not disappointed. Patrons were mostly foreign, which was to be...More

The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the
world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous
waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts
monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai
International Settlement run by the British and
Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has
endured over time and is now found in the five-star
hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive

Mr & Mrs Bund – Modern Eatery by Paul Pairet. A modern French eatery. Relaxed chic atmosphere, heritage Bund location.Mr & Mrs Bund is French, in the manner of Chef Paul Pairet: born, traveled, and globally stamped. Contemporary, but not stuffy. Relaxed, without sacrificing an ounce of chic. We serve populist French favorites, through Pairet's looking glass. Service is family-style, recast for a modern table, and the wine list includes 32 wines by the glass. We riff on classics, we dish up comfort cuisine, and we serve it just like you would Sunday night dinner – sharing-style, and with plenty for seconds. It's a straightforward menu that takes simple French classics to start, and then let you add and play. Mash-ups: not just for potatoes and DJs anymore. Hours: Dinner: 5:30pm to 10:30pm (Monday to Sunday); Late Night Supper: 11:00pm to 2:00am (Thursday to Saturday)Accolades: No.43 in 2013 & No. 76 in 2014 by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants & 51-100 list; No.7 in 2013 & No.11 in 2014 by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants
