The Arte Cafe is the main eatery in the Jumeirah Hotel. It has a menu, but it excels as a buffet. The breakfast is multi-cultural. It has an exceptional variety of dishes, local specialties and deserts. There is always a man pulling noodles out of dough, serving them in a broth with a wide variety of toppings and add-ins. The... New member of Jumeirah League loyalty club due to the fantastic Shanghai restaurant they have at the hotel. After dining at the Shanghai restaurant frequently I decided to try something different and opted for the buffet. Big mistake The appetiser section is probably the least dissatisfying although the prawns were off. The main courses were fairly poor, all the mains... More

Traveling to Shanghai on a regular basis for business - it is nice to find a spot where a western traveler can dine on some simple western food done well. Having visited Arte Cafe with business associates - I was pleasantly surprised by the juicy hand-carved turkey breast and seasonal side dishes that provided a well-rounded dining buffet that included... Ate here 3 times in the evening over three days whilst staying at the hotel. Day one, dining a la carte (I am not a fan of the bun fight buffets), my starter and main course arrived at the same time. Calamari tough but tasty enough and nasi goreng poor. Day two was a la carte again, in fairness a... More

Amazing lobby and impeccable service. Food was good and drink menu was good. Service was spot on with nightly entertainment. Well worth a visit just to see the largest LED screen on the roof alone.

With or stay in the hotel, we had complimentary breakfast in the Arte Cafe & Lobby Lounge. There was a great selection from different types of cuisine and of course, the more standard western choices. The pancake and egg stations were perfect to accommodate our breakfast requests. The service was excellent again and the staff even greeted us by name.... More

This is the main restaurant in the very impressive lobby of the Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel. Breakfast and lunch are both served buffet style and feature an impressive range of both Asian and western dishes. Staying in Century Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
