After three hours in the heat and humidity looking at old buildings in the French Concession we needed refreshment, so why not eat a simple French dinner? The illusion of not being in China extended to the French waitress and the salt and pepper shakers,...More

La Creperie came highly recommended by one of my colleagues, and it definitely did not disappoint! Had the savoury one with scallops, bacon and mushrooms (sorry I couldn't remember the name) and it was delicious. Scallops were cooked perfectly. It's a very filling portion as...More

This is my second time at this restaurant. It was almost full and it took 40 minutes for our order to arrive. The kitchen is far too small for such a number of tables. I did not have much time so I was late and...More

The restaurant is located a little far from the subway station so there's a bit of trekking involved to get there if you take the subway. The restaurant is small but was able to accommodate our group of around 20 people. We went for lunch...More

Went there for lunch and the first waitress didn't even know what the soup of the day was; aren't the waiters supposed to be brieffed on shortages and products of the day before service? Not French service standard by far. Other than that, it is...More

I had a good time there, service & food were quite correct but maybe a bit overpriced for a pan cake.

We went for a quick dessert and I ordered crêpe zusette and it was magnificently delicious with mango icecream on top. The place is cozy and in the area which gives really French atmosphere...the former French concession area of Shanghai.

I came here to satisfy my cravings for crepe.. I had the crepe with chocolate sauce, almonds, and banana. Very good! A bit pricey for crepe but everything in Shangjai is pricey anyway! Nice ambience, quick service, and staff understands English. There were other dishes...More

The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple,
while the main artery of excitement and entertainment
is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French
Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign
residents but displays a more commercial character.
Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and
trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing
Road, but areas off the busy street have the same

Hi Mark, All our savoury crêpes a.k.a "galettes" are made out of buckwheat flour and are gluten free. We can also do the sweet crêpes using the same paste, just let us know when you place your order :-) Sincerely, Thomas

Welcome to La Crêperie! Our restaurant was born in July 2007 in Shanghai. Its first aim was to bring the French community some of the most typical food from Brittany; what, as Bretons, we could only consider as a real lack in this huge city where we could already find a large variety of international cuisine… It was also our will to give the Chinese an opportunity to taste our authentic and original recipes.Today, not only the French but also many foreigners and more and more Chinese citizens are becoming regular customers. Coming to La Crêperie is about enjoying our great specialties of course. But we are also very pleased to introduce the Brittany region to the many travelers and dreamers visiting our place. This is why coming to La Crêperie is as if you were escaping from Shanghai for the time of your stay, enjoying our numerous very authentic galettes, crêpes and even fresh oysters from Riec sur Belon (famous in Brittany). You will also have the chance to drink various apple ciders while listening to Brittany traditional music in a friendly atmosphere and nautical decor. After Shanghai, Honk-Kong and Saigon were the other ports where La Crêperie decided to open. You will find there the same concept but you may discover other specialties from our region prepared by our Brittany Chef. So, if you are in Shanghai , Hong-Kong or Saigon, and willing to quit the busy and noisy life of the streets, look for the lighthouse, the symbol of Brittany that we borrowed to show you the way to safety and comfort…Welcome on board,Kenavo! The Team of La Crêperie
