For bars along Yongkang Lu, this one wasnt as crowded but had cheap tall glass Carlsberg Pints for 25RMB all day every day. their selection of sliders are good too. Too bad Yongkang is shutting down later this month, will miss the whole bar stretch.

Not eaten here for a long time but finally came back and tried their selection of sliders... 3 for RMB100 including fries. Decent selection of beers. One of the mainstays of Yong Kang Lu and worth coming back for the food (sliders) and beer

I came here one evening for a quick bite to eat and thoroughly enjoyed coming here that I even cam back for just drinks twice after. The burgers are just the right size, 1 for 39RMB or 3 (including chips) for 100RMB and they have a wide selection too. The drinks are cheap also in happy hour which is also... More

Found this place some time ago and enjoyed their cocktails and American beers. Service was nice enough and air cons effective. Was a nice place to sit and watch the street theatre that was on offer. Tried 2 of the sliders and they were great. Not award winning burgers but delicious and flavourful.

Yup, it's just a bar that thinks like it has a right to take your money because it's "foreign" in China. Service was practically non-existent. I asked the girl to take our order and she responded with a "yes", but continued to look at her phone. I asked a 2nd time and, again, she said "yes", but didn't move until... More

Sliders serves a selection of miniature burgers and you can pick your choice from a large variety. The burgers taste good, the service was as well. I personally think that bigger burgers are richer in taste than these tiny ones, therefore only 4 stars.

Been here many times and the food is terrible. As someone else commented, the burgers are just plain nasty. The meat is stringy and chewy.

As others have noted, this is one of the many cookie cutter spaces along the midsection of Yongkang Rd. Almost everywhere on this street is full of eccentric, drunk trust fund euro kids, but the Australians own this spot as well as The Blarney Stone and El Luchador (2 of the few places with character, yet still poor). Sliders use... More

Casual hang out with cool beer and nice little variety of mini burgers. Vibrant street, fast and friendly service, quality good. But at 10pm all changes, doors are being closed, tables and chairs outside disappear inside, everybody move in and it can get cramped. Reason? It is in a residential area and the local inhabitants living right above all the... More

Decent enough bar on one of the best streets for bars / restaurants in Shangahi - Yongkang road. Happy hour prices are good value 30 RMB for a beer or a wine.

This is one of the biggest cafe bars on Yongkang Lu and has a great selection of beers with a couple of really niche options, but the biggest selling point is their namesake - Slider Hamburgers which are truly amazing. It's some of the best bar fare in Shanghai, we especially like the Hen's Night chicken burger.

Staying in Former French Concession

Neighbourhood Profile
Former French Concession
While there are technical borders to the area formerly governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French Concession" of today is an amorphous neighborhood that is a favorite of the city's foreign residents. While it is mostly within the Xuhui district, residents will sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area seems frozen in time, characterized by quiet, tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China. All of these mix and mingle with local life as Chinese markets and lanehouse communities are peppered throughout. Denizens of the Former French Concession can spectate a mahjong game on the street or get their bike checked at a tiny bike repair store on the way to their refurbished apartment tucked away among Chinese family homes.
