Had a great lunch with great service and price! Aside from tip a homestyle meal cost about the same as eating fast food.

The restaurant manager tried to overcharge me and blamed it on "out of date" menu prices. Buns were stale. Manager did reluctantly agree to menu price, but was difficult. If you want Golden Rule barbecue, visit the Irondale location. Stay away from this store.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in town and we eat here about every week or so. The wait staff is always friendly (especially if you get Stephanie or Shelley) and the food is good. They have about the best breakfast in town, including...More
This is the best breakfast in town, hands down. Everything on the breakfast menu is awesome and the prices are great! The half chicken plate is also a bargain for lunch and dinner.
Yes, its you basic BBQ. Still good ole BBQ. With the upswing in pricing its great to still see a business that try's to control its cost and not pass every thing onto the customer. Nothing fancy, just good ole cooking.
A good local BBQ place. Lunch/or dinner is very good, but the breakfast is by far my favorite. Large portions and cooked just the way you like it.......service is good as well.
Son & family live in Trussville & we chose to eat breakfast at Golden Rule BBQ in Trussville! There was such a crowd. Had to wait, but it was worth it! Great breakfast & great server! Hope to eat there again!
We arrived there for our last visit about 15 minutes before closing time and the restaurant was completely empty on an extremely cold winter evening. They treated us like royalty. I had the sliced port sandwich and rib combo and my wife had a hamburger....More
Golden Rule is our "go-to-place" when we just can't decide exactly what we want. We can't go wrong by heading there for a delicious and reasonably prices breakfast plate (eggs, grits, bacon...) or Bar-B-Que or - my favorite - hamburger steak smothered in gravy and...More
