We went to this place on the advice of our hanging bridges tour guide. The food was authentic and the portions were huge. The food was good, not great. The server was very nice and the prices are extremely reasonable.

Found this little place online and boy did it turn out to be a gem. Lots of great food with an easy on the wallet price. My boyfriend had the sea bass with the creamy avocado sauce and I had the chicken casada. Excellent food, excellent service. A must go to if in La Fortuna. This soda needs to be... More

Went to Soda Viquez after seeing other reviews from trip advisor and staying in Fortuna for the night. The price is right- 2 casados and 2 beer for C9500. The food was ok, but not amazing. Little place outdoors on a side street need the parque. You get a large plate of a variety of traditional sides along with a... More

We ate here twice even though we were only in La Fortuna for 3 days. Amazing casados and very friendly service. We are vegan & gluten free and the staff had no problem adapting the vegetarian casado for us. Highly recommended!

This was one of the least expensive, but best meals we've had since arriving in Costa Rica. The setting is clean and quaint and the service was excellent. We each had a different entree and split an order of nachos. Everything was delicious. Recommended for sure!!

Seems family owned. I think it's a Mother who cooks and daughter serves. Not certain about that, it just seemed so. We tried pork chops, chicken, pesto pasta. Everything was delicious. We were referred to the place by Frank from Jacamar tours. The owner asked me both times we are here.... who referred you? I knew the name Frank but... More

We visited this Soda on the evening of April 12th and both had the most wonderful Arroz Con Pollo. We had been eyeing this Soda for months and so glad we ended up going. There are tons of Sodas around and I'm sure they're all good. I can only comment on this one not only for the great food but,... More

The food is mediocre at best, I have no idea why it's rated highly. We ordered fish, beef and chicken. All dishes were pretty bad, and the food came out cold. They have pre-made sides that they just scoop out once the meat has been cooked. It's overpriced. Please go elsewhere to have a good meal.

We recently tried this great local spot in La Fortuna. Nachos were decent, Casado was good, and the rice and shrimp were good. As most places have expensive fare for good food in this town, this place is rather inexpensive.
