We had a wonderful meal and great service. The waiter spoke good English and was very helpful and the food was plentiful and well presented. The restaurant itself had great ambience and we would definitely go back and would recommend it to friends.

A must try superb experience! Alonso explained the specials od the day outside the menu and it did not disappoint! My husband ordered the Convina (fish) plate with seafood white wine infused sause from the day's special. I had the filet mignon in mushroom wine sauce plate and we paired them with the passion fruit margaritas! Uff! Everything was perfection and since it was late lunch time we squeezed some salsa dancing next to our corner table to enjoy the background music... the few other clients did not seem to mind 😋 Thank you again Alonso!!!

Came in late for diner but were really well received. From cocktails, to dish to desert everything was very fresh, tasty and well balanced. Very value for money. Plus the staff was super friendly and kind. They also have a nice little garden patio bar to relax while enjoying a local drink after daily activities. Family friendly!

This large, fun, and friendly restaurant is full fun decor and great food! Our server and host were both very friendly and eager to please.
$33 Surtida for Two...this massive food platter is covered with a plethora of amazing foods including steak, chicken, shrimp, and fish! The fried fish sticks were my favorite, crispy breaded with hot moist fish inside, incredible! My wife preferred the tender juicy chunks of beef. The french fries and deep fried banana cakes make for great complementary carbs. Good stuff!
$6 craft beers are served in bottles with cute animal artwork. Oh, and the beer is refreshing and delicious too!

Ordered churrasco and what I received was something like a top round, it was supposed to be a skirt steak, be careful when you order the churrasco.

Very cute open air restaurant! Wish they had the umbrellas throughout the entirety of it though. We ordered two pasta dishes, one steak dish, rice and chicken, two ordered of buffalo wings, a chicken gratin (not my favorite) and soup and salad. The soup also lacked in flavor and was left almost untouched. The other dishes were good, but not great. The buffalo wings were good but not cut in half like we asked, but the flavor was there. Prices are decent for the amount of food we ordered.

We were welcomed into the restaurant by Alonso. He took us to a lovely table near the garden, we could watch the birds & enjoy the flora.
He recommended drinks: a local shot & a beer, answered questions about the food & helpfully suggested places of interest in Arenal.
A complimentary starter soon appeared: a shot of Costa Rican gazpacho with garlic bread, shortly followed by our mains: tuna ceviche & mixed quesadilla. The food was tasty & well presented. We finished our meal with good double expressos! A good restaurant, very reasonable priced.

Read the reviews so decided to go. Our shrimp and avocado salad was massive and delicious. We ordered burgers which were tasty but the bottom bun was soggy and not eatable. Our fries were from the freezer. The beer was local and we loved it. You shouldn’t skip it if you wasn’t something quick but you have a lot of choices in La Fortuna.

On NY evening, we went to La fortuna without any restaurant reservation and saw Casa Fortuna. We asked if they had palce and very friendly they gave us a large table since we were with 10 persons.
We enjoyed a really nice NY Eve diner. They had really good steak and also the shrimp party was awesome. Shrimps were of a very good thick quality accompanied with some nice home made sauces.
The kids were allowed to run around and play without any issues from the staff.
Unexpected really nice NY Eve, we enjoyed the place, the food and the staff.
Recommended!

My adult girls and I had our first nights dinner here recommended by our homeaway host. It was very over priced for the quality compared to other food we have had now since at the end of our stay in costa rica. There are many choices in La Fortuna.i am a foodie and I would not recommend for the price versus the quality. Sorry but just being honest.

Had a fabulous dinner here. The service and ambiance were excellent. You can tell it is a family run business and they take great pride in making sure the customer has a great time.
Our food was fresh and beautifully prepared and the “on the house” tomato and Tabasco shot was delicious. Would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone travelling through La Fortuna.

We came here as part of a tour for lunch. I'm always skeptical of lunch tours since they traditionally are at very touristy restaurants. Although this place does attract tourists, the food was great and there were also locals there too!
It's a very spacious airy restaurant with a cute patio and huge bar. The Casados were delicious!!! Our group had the beef, chicken and fish. Definitely get the arroz con leche. It was amazing!
I was also introduced to the Costa Rican version of a Michelada which is Beer with Lemon Juice over ice with a salted rim. I opted for the local Imperial beer of course. I'm not even a beer drinker but this was so refreshing on a hot day. I'm accustomed to the Mexican style Michelada with tomato juice.

Andres was a fantastic server for our dinner yesterday. He made sure to accommodate my request for a salad and vegetables along with my unbelievably flavorful orange juice chicken and shrimp dish. He celebrated the day with chilliguaro shots for us and even made sure my cocktail had no added sugar like I asked! The tuna steak was also fantastic- a huge chunk of meat with a lot of healthy veggies as well. This place has a wonderful beach vibe with eclectic decor throughout and a nice open air dining concept. Definitely recommend this place for meals in La Fortuna without a doubt!

Great food! Awesome service! Be sure to ask for Alfonso. The sea bass was yummy, but the seafood medley in a red wine sauce that came with it stole the show! The seafood ceviche was awesome as well. Everything was tasty. Our server Alfonso also made several recommendations for local attractions and other great places to eat. We are now even bigger fans of Costa Rica. Pura vida! (IYKYK)

Great food and even better service. Our server Alonso was so friendly and helpful, giving us tips on where else to eat and what to see, especially free things to do. Generous servings of delicious food and a really lovely atmosphere.
