The parrillada and patacones were very delicious and so was their hot sauce! We definitely reccommend.

I am going to give this restaurant one star because of the way the owner treated us yesterday without caring or respecting the other foreign clients who were at the table they were surprised and had a bad impression of our country, they said they...had never seen anything like that before and they did not expect this in Costa Rica and how something like this is allowed here because in their country they would have sue the restaurant. I think this restaurant should accept all comments to improve. Some time ago I ate at this restaurant , I had a bad experience with my meal that I ordered for to go, I wrote a comment about my experience at this restaurant to help improve which was not to the liking of the owner and that's why he prevented me from eating there yesterday. I really went because a foreign friend had a birthday and had made a reservation and invited me but after the bad experience I had decided not to return, I thought I'd give it another chance and clean up the impression I had of the place. The owner of the restaurant came to the table and told me that she knew that I had put a negative comment about the food on Face and that's why I couldn't dine there and to leave the place because they reserved the right of admission. For her write a negativa review was making problems, Too Bad for her! The people I was at the table with did not speak Spanish and they asked me what was happening. When I explained what was happening, they were very upset about that, they could not believe it! , they decided to go to another restaurant. As they say there is no evil that does not come for good! Because thanks to that incident we ate at another 100% recommended restaurant "Selva Rustica" with a more pleasant atmosphere of a restaurant and not a soda for such a special day. When the lady saw that we all got up, she approached the foreigners and told them that the only one who couldn't eat there was me, that they didn't have any problem, of course we weren't going to stay there since there were so many restaurants and so much great disrespect. I work with Tourism and I dedicate myself to visiting places to be able to recommend them. The owner should know how to accept comments, whether positive or negative, to improve. In my case, the food was not of the best quality, sometimes happen. The meat was literally a shoe sole. I felt that they took advantage because the order was to go and I was not going to return it after 9 pm 6 kilometers to return the food. They told me that they would refund my money and the excuse was that it was the last piece they had because it was already a bit late, also because of the meat´s term , this wasn´t true. Due to what happened, I do not recommend it, besides the fact that the place is not very nice to dine and is very close to the street, it is almost impossible to go without a reservation because they have few tables. The menu is not very varied compared to other restaurants but they have good prices and the dishes include various accompaniments. I recommend "Selva Rústica" it is a very nice place surrounded by nature even sometimes you can see lazy and the food is super delicious!More

After many recommendations from tour guides, hotel staff and locals we booked here for our last meal in La Fortuna and so glad we did. The meal was the best of 4 restaurants we ate in whilst in La Fortuna. The options were varied and...the quality and taste were excellent. The sauce options with the meal absolutely finished off already tasty dishes. Credit to the husband and wife who own and run the restaurant, I couldn’t recommend enough but as others say you must book as we counted 20+ people being turned away on the night as they hadn’t booed in advance.More

We loved this restaurant! It was so yummy! I had the chicken cordon blue & my hubby had the sea bass. We both loved our meals! The owners are the best! They do everything & they were so helpful! Definitely plan on going back when...we return!! 😁More

The food was amazing by far the best food we had in la Fortuna try the Parillada it feeds 2 to 3 people and the service was amazing.

Best food in Fortuna but you need to book. Whilst we were sitting there devouring our delicious steaks the lovely owners had to turn person after person away.

Came here for lunch whilst staying in La Fortuna. The food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. One of the best steaks I have eaten; would highly recommend. This was our favorite restaurant during our entire week in Costa Rica! It was recommended to us by a local. The beef tenderloins were the best we have ever tasted -- thick, but like butter...so tasty and juicy! The veggies served with it were also...prepared in a terrific and interesting way. This special restaurant...a short walk away from the town center...is well worth your trip!More

Small family restaurant with friendly owner/cook/waitstaff. Drinks and food were great- loved the tuna tartar w pantacones.

Wow! Just wow. Just a little off the main street, but so worth it. Service and food are amazing. Try the garlic mussels, best I have ever had in my life!!! Great value as well.
