While I'm not a morning person, waking up to eat in the open air breakfast was easy every morning. Breakfast was included when I stayed at the Turrialtico Lodge and I took advantage of viewing the Volcano each morning before the clouds rolled in. The staff was attentive each morning I ate there and the food was consistently good, especially... More

SAVE your money and eat somewhere else. They were slow at serving the food, but quick at charging. My son got a Fettucini Carbonara for $10 dollars, it was nothing but pasta mixed with butter and pieces of bacon. I ordered a beef sandwich that was unedible, bread was soggy and meat was the toughest of town. My husband only... More

I have stayed here many times with groups. I like the location and it is cool to sleep at night. It is simple, and the beds are a little rough, and the rooms are a little rough (everything is made of wood), so hopefully none of the guests are smokers. It is simple but relatively inexpensive (for highly overpriced Costa... More

Verdulero, Thank you for preferring Turrialtico Lodge, we are happy to hear you enjoyed your visits. The hotel was built in 1948 and the wood construction is part of the experience. Tried some dishes and they were very good. The restaurant was empty so service was very fast. I recomendación the agua dulce, tortillas and tayuyos if you are looking for something to have with coffee.

Had dinner with large group. We were the only ones there. The evening view was amazing. Complete with random fireflies in the air. Meal was good. Staff were great.

This lodge and restaurant is located at the top of a hill and has a great view of Turrialba below. We even saw fireflies flitting around! Service was friendly. The food was okay - good veggies, which can be hard to find in Costa Rica - and some reasonably priced options. But a lot of it was overpriced for the... More

The Turrialtico lodge is located 8 km away from Turrialba town center, at a hill overlooking the valley. The place offers great views. The rooms are clean but the walls and floors are very tin so basically there is no real privacy :) The restaurant offers local and international cuisine + good selection of wines.
