Stay away from this place. Meals are overpriced and taste terrible. Most dishes are smothered in sauces to hide the tasteless dishes. Servers are extremely slow and tried to slip dishes that weren't ordered or not received on the bill. The only disappointing restaurant in a two week vacation.

Food was expensive for what you get. most of the dishes come with the same 'sides' (there is a choice of potatoes vs. rice). I asked for rice and was served potatoes. When I mentioned it to the server, he just looked at me apologetically, did not say anything and although he looked like he may bring me a side... More

We stayed in Coco Beach for a week and decided to dine here one evening. Service was fast and friendly. Ambiance was nice. Portions were generous and the food was great! My girlfriend had the tuna steak. I went for the seafood jambalaya. Loaded with shrimp and other seafood. I could hardly finish it. Best part was, dinner for two... More

We were there twice during our week vacation. Sat on the open air patio. Nice selection of fresh fish offered with several types of preparation. We enjoyed both times. Great service.

We liked it here we went twice. First to the Balcony side (same menu but more hipster) and the Original. Ask the waiter for suggestions on the best prep for your choice of fish. The Bloody Mary was lovely and the Tamarindo Margarita yummy.

Worth taking the shuttle from the RIU hotel to Coco beach to eat here. It was recommended to us from locals. While the main strip in Coca beach has a lot of cheesy tourist shops and "spring break" looking restaurants, Papagayo was perfect for couples or families.

We just finished eating at this restaurant. We ordered the seafood platter. It was a huge serving good for two. We didn't even finished it and we have to take some back to our hotel. Also we had tuna. Very delicious, nice ambience. ... BONUS, HONEST WAITER. I LEFT MY PHONE ON THE TABLE AND HE CALLED US BACK AND... More

Hungry and tired, we were looking for a place to eat our fish. It was around 4 so most restaurants were empty. We took a chance at this big very touristy looking restaurant and were ever so pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious (tuna steak and sea bass filet). Cannot talk about the ambiance since the restaurant was practically empty,... More

The service was great at Papagayo Seafood in Coco Beach, Costa Rica. We had the whole red snapper which was excellent, and great margaritas. We enjoyed being upstairs and away from the street but on the patio for a fresh breeze and good view of the village.

perfect spot for lunch after morning trip round to Coco Beach. 1st floor balcony overlooking the main street, great to watch the world go by. Food beautiful, great choice of fresh fish. Not so good on the craft ale which was undrinkable as informed by the staff, but a cold imperial beer soon erased that memory. Red Snapper for mains... More
