This is a little shack Resturant in a circle of similar small shack restaurants. It would be easy to miss or discount but don't be fooled, Taco Tico makes some seriously yummy tacos. We had the combo plate with two different kinds beef and chicken and a mound of nachos. It was terrific and a good value,. The perfect lunch... More

I went to Taco Tico twice while in Tamarindo, and both times I had the "Combo Plate", which had 3 two-bite size tacos (about the size of a silver dollar), one chicken, one pork, and one beef (delicious). A couple of large cheesy quesadillas cut into quarters. And a good helping of nachos, covered with refried black beans, lots of... More

I visited this place tonight for the first time and I can't believe I have walked by so many times without eating here. Located inside the little outdoor food court, it's a little hidden, but well worth the search. I had the crunchy tacos and they were great -- fantastic value, fantastic food. Perfect for anyone trying to eat in... More

Combo plate is large and really good food. Expat owner puts on a great plate and value is really good. In the food court across from bank.

If you're in Tamarindo looking for a great but cheap lunch, go here. I think during my weeklong stay I went here for food about 5 times. The tacos are just unbelievable. Make sure you get the Tamagringo - it's a hard shell taco covered by a soft shell with fresh red tomato salsa, lettuce, cheese and beef. So fresh... More

Food in Tamarindo is not cheap (and not always that great) so it's such a treat to find a delicious meal that is easy on the wallet. I don't eat meat so I ordered vegetarian tacos and they were superb! My brother got the beef tacos and nachos and loved them as well. A perfect place for a beach day... More

Great flavor and price. It's located in a little food court so it's not the easiest to find, but when you do, try the combo! It gives you a little bit of everything that turns to a lot of food. Just as everyone else said it's a great value.
